04||A Doctor

POV: Author/Reader|Third Person

   You are now following Elise, holding her hand while she is on front. There are men who are wearing black suits and glasses who seem to be looking for someone.

   You snapped out of your mind when Elise tug on your hand, "Come on, let's run, okay?" She said

   "Run? Why should we run?" You questioned the young girl

   "Because it's dangerous at night" she said in a matter-of-fact tone "Come on!"

   You nodded and then your hand got pulled by Elise who is now running "Whoa!" You yelped

   "HEY!! HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!" Someone shouted, when you turn around you saw a bunch of men in a suit with guns pointing at you

   "Uh... W-we might have a problem Elise..." You stuttered and she turned back while running and has an annoyed look

   She tsked "Can they just leave us alone?!"

Time: 5:51 pm

   We've been running for at least 10 minutes, and they still won't give up. You have an amazing stamina but from the looks of it Elise doesn't, she started panting and she's getting a little slow.

   "Elise! Can you still run?!" You asked the young girl who shook her head

   You sighed and put a determined look "Elise get ready!" You shouted which gained a confusion to the blonde girl

   "What do you— Ah!" She questioned but got caught off when you carried her in bridal-style

   She isn't that heavy in-fact she's quite light for someone her age, you are now running for your life while carrying a 10 year old child.

   "Do you know a way we could hide from them?" You asked Elise who is looked around

   She nodded "I know a way, once we turn a corner, we'll be able to find an alleyway" She announced

   "Alright!" You start to run faster, you turned a corner and saw a dark alleyway with a dumpster on the side, you went to the alleyway and hid behind the dumpster

   "It stinks here..." You whispered "Shh!" Elise hushed you, you both heard voices

   "Where are they?"

   "I can't believe we lost them!"

   "Where do you think they went?"

   "You four go to the right! We'll go to the left"

   "Yes sir!"

   And after that, the voices disappeared "You think they're gone?" You asked and she nodded

   The both of you peek out and checked if the coast is clear "It's clear" you said

   She sighed in relief and looked at you "Let's go Rintarou could be waiting for me" you nodded

   The two of you walked in silence "Hey," you turned to Elise "How can you run so fast while carrying me?" She questioned

   You chuckled "Well you see, in the past, I used to live in the woods" Elise listened to you, interested

   "Wild boars would always come out randomly, whenever I'm looking for food, I have to run a lot of times but it ended up dying when it gets too close to me" You smiled nervously while scratching the back of your neck

   Elise quirked an eyebrow "Why did it die when it gets too close to you?"

   Your smile faltered "You see, my body can rob a life force of someone when they're near me"
