Chapter 1 - New School, New Life

[ Jin-ae's POV ]

I stepped out of the car and then waving goodbye to my dad who dropped me off.

I fix my bowtie and walked into the school building.

I looked around in awe before finding my way to find my classroom.

I looked around anxiously as I tried to my find my classrooms, I took a small piece of paper from my skirt and open it.

It was just where my new classroom is.

I continued to look around before finally finding it.

I looked at it nervously before going inside.

I looked around seeing a little group of students hanging out the left side of the classroom most of them being boys.

I looked around finding a girl at the very back of the classroom at the right side.

I walked over to her catching the girls attention "Is this seat taken?" I asked.

She just shook her head and offered the seat, I silently thanked her and sat down.

I put my bag down on te ground before looking down at my right hand with a purple rubber silicon bracelet with my name written on white.

I silently sighed then looking at the window beside me.

I looked at the window spacing out for a while before I felt someone tap my shoulder.

I looked beside me and looking at my seatmate confused.

I might have spaced out a little too long as I didn't noticed the classroom was already filled with students.

The girl secretly pointed at the front seeing the teacher already there just about to walk at the desk at front.

I fixed myself and readied myself to listen.

"Good morning" she greeted with a smile, a wave of 'good morning' greeter back to the teacher.

She sat down and took something under the desk a big black box taken out.

"Ok, everyone hand over your phones" I scrowled as i heard groans and sighed from my classmates.

I stood up with them taking my phone out of my bag.

I walked over to the front and handed my phone to the teacher.

After everyone did that I sat back down taking a pen and notebook from my bag.

I put my pen down on the desk and looked down at my desk bored.

"Class, we have a new student joining us today, this is Jin-ae Park, she's a transfer student from the Philippines. Please make sure she feels welcome" the teacher kindly said gesturing a hand over to me making the others look over.

I slightly sinked down my seat as I felt uncomfortable by the stares.

I looked at the desk in front of me to see the girl over the right strike her head up from the mention of my name.

I looked at her confused before fixing my sitting position after our teacher started her lesson.

She wasn't here earlier so I didn't see her clearly saw her face.

I started to listen to the teacher as I focus more on the lesson.

I stretch my arms as I took my bag and went out with the other students to the cafeteria.

As I walked out to the walkway from building to the other I looked around trying to get comfortable with everything.

I arrived at the cafeteria going to an empty table, I looked around to try and find someone but no familiar face.

I took my lunch box as I started to eat.

I finished eating fixing everything back into my bag.

I took my bag from beside me and started to walk back to my classroom.

But while I was in the walk way I saw someone familiar and a boy talking.

I saw the girl started to continue to walk making the boy look very disappointed

I continue to walk and catches up with the familiar looking girl.

I looked around to see her walking in the library.

I went inside before I could continue to walk I thought to myself.

'Hold... Wouldn't it be weird that I am following a random girl probably thinking that isn't HER anyways?'

I looked at the ground fighting with my thoughts before making a decision.

I walked out of the library and continue what I was supposed to do.

Go back to the classroom and sleep.

I took my phone out of my skirt pocket and checked the time as I continued to walked outside the building.

I heard a car honk, looking up i saw my father on the car with the passenger seat window down.

He waved over, I put my phone back on my pocket and walked over to the car.

I opened the passenger door and hopped on.

"How was school?" He asked starting the engine.

"It was good, how was work?" i asked putting my seat belt on and rolling the window back up.

"Great, did you find Nam-ra?" he asked.

I jumped from my seat and looked at him, "Nam-ra study's here?"

He looked at me confused "Yeah, thats why we enrolled you here" he said

I groan and leaned on the car seat.

"Why?"

Sighing looking at the view while my dad continued to drive.

"I saw a familiar girl, I was hesitant to follow her to see if it was really her. but I may look like a creep following a random girl not even knowing if it was her, so I decided to just went in with my day" I explained earning a hum.

"Want to get some take out to clear that out your mind?" He asked.

"Yes please..." I mumbled as he went to find a McDonalds
