I've always wanted to go on an adventure, ever since I was little, it's been my
life long dream. Even though I'm only fifteen. My mom tells me there's no such
thing as an adventure, my dad says adventures are only in dreams, and my
sister says the closest thing to an adventure is being in a movie. But what I
think is that adventures are in books, maybe there not yours but that's the fun
of it, making it your own. When I say adventure you probably think rainbows
and unicorns, but no. Adventures are exploring the unexplored, having your life
threatened or fighting for what you believe in. My point is that an adventure
isn't supposed to be all fun its also supposed to be scary.
"Rose, time for dinner!" My mother shouts from downstairs.
"coming" I shout back. Once I get downstairs my whole family's there. I'm
about to take a piece of fish but pull back. "mom I'm a vegetarian" I say.
"well its all we have" she says back. I get up and make myself a sandwich. Then
sit back down. "soo what do you want for your birthday?" my mom asks. Its my
birthday tomorrow. " you already know" I say. I mean my whole life its all I've
ever wanted. " Just give it up ok. your not going on an adventure." my sister
Connie yells at me. I bang my fist on the table. And give her the most evil look
possible. Then say in a threatening voice. "Don't you think If I could I would?"
and with that I get up and leave. I go to my room an slam the door. Then I lay
down and go to sleep.
The next morning I get dressed in black pants and a white tee with the
divergent symbol. Then I go downstairs. "Good, you're up. Were going to
Walmart for your gift. Get in the car."
