Think.

Think fast.

"It shouldn't be you"

Stop him.

Save him.

"I can only feel you"

Why?

The warmth I once felt was now gone. The trembling on my fingers wouldn't stop, every breath I took was every time shorter than the one before.

My eyes were now at the same level as his, the light that once reflected light was darkened by the lack of life in his body. With one hand leaning on the arm that held me so often, the other went straight to close his eyes. The tears that were running down my cheeks continued their way down falling into my fingers and without touch, diving directly into the hole the man I loved had on his forehead.

How can I say goodbye to the only love I've known?

"Mom"

My loves

"You said family is forever"

And yet there are things I cannot change.

"Thanks for choosing me to be your mom"

Holding them for the first time was hope. Feeling their breathing while holding them against my chest was life.

The fragility with which his little fingers had clung to the neckline of my dress, and the strength not to let go. The tingling that grew in my chest as I listened to their little breaths and the little sounds. He had walked out the door leaving only a huge heart filled only with unconditional love for my two little bugs.

I swear I'll love you all my life.

Snapping from her bed she tried to find a spot for support, but it only resulted in her falling onto the floor. The smell of damp wood prevailed throughout her room while the lightning from the storm was the only source of light she could count.

It was supposed to be you and me.

It was supposed to be you and me, against everything.

With all her clothes damp with sweat, she began to search erratically through the drawers next to her bed. Moving her eyes quickly as she scanned the space in search of what had become her most prized possession. Moved by the anguish and tears running aggressively down her face, the desperation began to become more and more real as her chest rose and fell rapidly.

Starting to look not only on the drawers beside her bed, she started to throw away the clothes she had on her wardrobe, the desperation of not being able to remove the hooks quickly to check in them made her patience run out.

Her piercing scream resonated through the storm, causing the cabin to shake. With a movement of her hand, all the things ended up crashing against the walls, making some things break the only window in her room. Even now, the scream was not enough to bring out all the vortex of emotions she was carrying inside herself, and in an impulse decided to burn everything that was in that room.

What a bad choice...

The moment the flames started to ignite, a pinch on her chest made her turn to the window.

It wasn't that long. It was just only for a few seconds. But time it's relative and sometimes a few seconds can convert into ages for those who are meant or born to be damned. The air she had once breathed with anger, now was leaving her body with sorrow. When her body started to move, and her hand extended to reach the piece of paper that was floating in flames.
