The Last Date

Heather's POV:

It's been around three days since the last challenge and I'm wondering if Chris gave up or got fired.

We haven't heard from him since and I'm hoping he did forget about us.

"What do you think Chris is doing right now?" Bridgette asks as she hands me a glass before before sitting down next to me.

"Ugh if only I could go inside his tiny head then I would know." I say as I take a swig from my drink.

"He probably bought a gold statue of himself again with all the money he's made from this season." Courtney chimes from the couch across from us.

"Nah he's too busy reading the reviews about how amazing of a host he is to remember that he actually has to finish the show." Gwen snickers next to Courtney.

The four of us couldn't help but laugh at the terrible comments about our 'favorite' host.

"Seriously though, we probably have what like three more episodes left right?" "If we're lucky he might bring it down to two." I mumble looking out the window.

Since there's four teams left it seems like there will be a few episodes left.

I'm so ready to leave. I'm ready to just get back to my old life and finally have Alejandro be a part of it.

Ugh that means I have to deal with all of the press and crap.

Whatever, it'll be worth it in the end. I hope.

"Well whatever it is I'm just grateful it's us four ladies." Bridgette gives us a warm smile as she raises her glass.

"To us for somehow surviving this crazy show for too many years." Gwen announces and we all toast and laugh together.

It somehow always ends up being Gwen, Courtney and I at the end of the seasons. You would think we would've been super close those past years but it wasn't until now that we have grown to finally appreciate each other.

At least for Gwen. Courtney and I are still working on it. Sort of.

As if he could feel our peace, Chris walks in with a smug smile and excitement basically emitting out of him. It was kind of disturbing to be honest.

"Are you ladies ready for the last challenge of the season?" Wait what?

"Wait, one more challenge then we're out of here?" Courtney asks the question we were all wondering.

"Yup and it starts tomorrow." He adds as he takes in all of our surprised reactions.

It was like a dream, Bridgette and Gwen started yelling and dancing. Courtney was on the verge of tears and I still had shock written all over my face.

"Wait, why are we ending so early?" "Budget issue and the production company is mad I kept the season this long already." He shrugs. Huh makes sense I guess.

"What's our last challenge then?" There was a long pause as his smile grew even more.

"Oh you'll see. I'm not going to spoil it for you all." Every single one of us groan in annoyance.

"I already gave the gentlemen the news already so everybody knows. Once the season is over you are welcome to stay for a couple of nights to celebrate or do whatever. Just don't go to my quarters got it?" He narrows his eyes as we all nod.
