As Harry walks up to the stool the Teacher's go quiet. As his piercing green eyes gaze around the room he stops on the Headmaster, who looks frozen in his seat. Sitting upon the stool he stiffens upon the voice.

"Well well Mr. Potter. It would seem that you remind everyone here a great deal of someone. Me especially. But let us not Ponder upon those things. Where to sort you is the question." The Sorting Hat spouts.

"I believe that sorting me is your Job. I wonder something. What is your name? From what I know you were originally Godric Gryffindors Hat and imbued with Magic from all four founders. What did they call you, if they called you anything." Harry Ponders.

The sorting hat laughs Joyfully.

"I see that you have read Hogwarts: A History. There was only one other person in the last 500 years to ask my name. It is Alistair. Pleased to meet you."

"You as well."

"Right. Let's get on with it. From what I have heard you have manners. Very polite. Mmmm... only to people who are polite back I see. Good for you. For someone to have your respect they must show you respect as well. You are loyal it seems but only to a fault. You are kind. I could sort you into Hufflepuff but you would never one hundred percent fit there."

"Hufflepuff. The house of the Badgers, black and yellow. Kindness, Loyalty, Justice, Patience, and Honesty. I'm afraid you're right. Could not fit in right."

"Mmm. Yes afraid not Mr. Potter. I can see that you have a great deal of knowledge and studied the Houses. You value knowledge and love to learn. Not very creative though no. You contribute to it but no starting there. Very analytical. And you don't value knowledge for the sake of learning. To use it to your benefit though. That might rule out a second house and not just one. Hmm. You have nerve. You challenge but only when you know you can win."

Ravenclaw. The House of the Eagles, blue and silver. Creativity, Wisdom, Wit, Intelligence, and Learning. Gryffindor. The House of the Lions, red and gold. Courage, Bravery, Nerve, Chivalry, and Valor. Slytherin. The House of the Snakes, green and silver. Ambition, Cunning, Determination, Resourcefulness, and Cleverness."

"My my. You have traits of all houses but there is only one I believe that you would thrive in. Though you will face adversity. I hope you are prepared."

"I am prepared for whatever house I am to be sorted to Alistair. Thank you for your warning."

"Very well then. Good luck to you Henry Potter in Slytherin!"
