Pitch glowered at Crystal as he stepped closer to her, his patience and temper wavering. "You should be afraid of me! As I said before, I can and shall make your life a living Hell if you refuse to help me!"

"How exactly do you plan on doing that?"

"I'll turn everyone that is precious to you into my Nightmares," he snapped his fingers and the black sand began to move on its own. The sand shifted and took the form of black as night horses with stunning glowing orange eyes. One walked over to her, it's orange eyes staring into her green ones. She reached out to pet the stunning creature on the snout, but it reared back and whinnied. Crystal flinched at the sudden movement, causing Pitch to smile.

"How do I know you won't turn me into one of your pets after this is all over?"

"You see, Child, I only need you to play as bait for Jack. Once your role is over, you may go, or you can join me. The choice is yours, however, if you choose to stay with me afterwards, then you won't ever have to worry about being alone."

Crystal looked at the sand that was wrapped around her middle and down her body, then to the Nightmare. "Will I get a Nightmare of my own?"

"Of course you will! Just help me to defeat the Guardians, and you can have your own army of Nightmares," Pitch bargained while watching her with a content smile. He knew that she would want someone to be with so she'd never be alone again.

"But..." her words trailed off.

"What?"

"What if I can't help you? I mean, if I chicken out or betray you?"

"Simple. Your loved ones will all become my Nightmares."

"All but one, you mean." Pitch looked at her quizzically, questioning her silently. She continued, "The only one you wouldn't be able to turn into a Nightmare would be the one I love the most. Jack Frost."

"You say you love him, yet you just ran away from him. He hurt you, child. That emotional pain will never go away. He has scarred your heart!" Crystal's eyes started to blur as tears rose to the brims. Pitch used the sand to form a flower and held it out for Crystal. "He has hurt you, but I never will."

"Okay," she said softly, "I'll help you."

"Wonderful!" Pitch called off the black sand that held her captive. He took her hand and sat her on the chair. "First off, you need to look the part. Just relax, it won't hurt a bit."

He raised his hand, ad again the black sand engulfed her body, but she didn't struggle. She closed her eyes and allowed the sand to alter her image and change her into what Pitch wanted her to be. The sand soon slid off of her as it turned back into horses. She opened her eyes, but everything seemed the same. Pitch nodded to the mirror she had resting on the small desk she had. Crystal stood up slowly at first, and walked over to the mirror. A look of complete horror washed over her face. The whites of her eyes were gone and turned black, her hair was longer and also black, her skin had gone from bone pale to a grayish color and her once blue lipstick was now black. Then she noticed the dress. She was now wearing a knee-length strapless black dress with tattered ends, and black heels. She almost screamed but then the thought hit her, I'll never be alone again. She smiled an evil sort of smile and looked at Pitch. "Lets get revenge."
