There was never a dull moment in the life of Captain Beidou. I mean, she's a pirate after all. Today, she sat in her cabin looking over a few maps as the ship creaked gently over the rolling waves. She paused for a moment to take a quick sip of beer out of the flask placed next to her on the desk. Deciding she could use a break, the esteemed captain leaned back in her chair, placing her feet on the desk in a comfortable position. A smile appeared on her face remembering her little surprise guest aboard the Alcor. Beidou was intrigued by you, as you had managed to sneak onto her ship undetected for over a day while still being ill. Those kinds of people piqued her interest. Also, a good story could be shared from you to her crew. As curious as she was, Beidou forbid herself or anyone else from the crew besides Kazuha to see you before you were fully better, as she was afraid of the stress it would put you under. Kazuha was a very dear friend to her, so she knew you were in capable hands, yet she couldn't help but worry about your condition. The Inazuman ronin had been giving her reports on your current condition for the past 5 days and it seemed you were doing better. Speaking of which, the captain murmured to herself, he should be coming soon to give his daily prognosis on your condition...

You sit up on your cozy little cot, eating lunch that Kazuha had insisted on preparing himself. The cook aboard the Alcor could've done it, but in truth he enjoyed looking after you and he wanted feedback on his own cooking. The moment you tasted the grilled cod, which had been seasoned to perfection, you couldn't help but get teary eyed. In your mind nothing had ever tasted so good, as you were used to living off of whatever scraps you could find. This ranged from molding trash, to restaurant leftovers, or a small dish some kind soul gave you if you were lucky. The boy smiled at you upon seeing your reaction to the food. "Well, Im glad you're enjoying yourself. I'll leave you to eat then check on you in a little while." You nodded in response, mouth full of food, and watched as he got up to leave. The past few days had been a long road to recovery. Lots of medication, rest, and good food were provided for you. Kazuha had even begun helping you perform exercises to get your strength back. Today he had assisted you in walking again. Your steps had been shaky at first and for awhile you had to lean on his shoulder for support. After a few hours of trying, and falls along the way, you got the hang of the basic skill set again. Your little gasp of surprise and happiness when you took your first few steps on your own made Kazuha seem almost as happy as you were. He'd also been reading you poetry he wrote in his spare time to help you sleep. It was the best you'd felt in ages. It had made you forget about your nervousness in meeting the captain. As the thought resurfaced, you bit your lower lip in an anxious manner. Kazuha had mentioned her many times and never had a bad word to say about her. Still, it was in your nature to be wary of meeting new people. You'd been what some considered a street mouse in Liyue most of your life after all.
After a little while, you'd finished eating your meal. Kazuha came in again as promised to check your condition and to bid you goodnight. He informed you that you'd most likely be fully recovered in a few days, and would finally be able to the the ever-mentioned Captain Beidou. He saw the apprehension in your face and gave you a warm smile. He assured you once again, "I know even from what I told you that you remain still nervous. However, I give you my word that, while eccentric, Captain Beidou is an extremely kind women with a heart of gold." He then left you to rest for the night, along with a swarm of thoughts keeping you awake until the sleepiness took over, leaving you to your subconscious.
