It was a bright Sunday afternoon. 75 degrees, a slight breeze and clear skies; the definition of perfect weather. Aimer and Daisy decided to ride their bikes up and down the street on this perfect day.
Daisy peddled harder to quicken her pace. When she got to the perfect speed she released the handle bars and stood on her pedals as she spread out her arms.
"Whoo!" Daisy screamed.
Aimer calmly rode her bike behind Daisy's and watched in awe. The summer wind blew Daisy's dress up but she didn't seem to care in the moment. Aimer laughed and sped up to ride beside her.
"You're flashing the whole neighborhood." Aimer said pulling down Daisy's dress. Daisy sat back down on her bike and stopped. Aimer rode around her in circles watching her.
"I've got shorts on underneath." Daisy said fluffing her hair.
Aimer rolled her eyes and began to bike away from her. Aimer didn't even like riding bikes. It made her legs hurt, the seat was uncomfortable and alot of her white dresses were stained with black dirt from when they got caught in the gears. But Dasiy loved bike riding on a sunny day. And Aimer's love for her made her so foolish that should would forget she hated doing this eveytime Daisy asked to ride with her. A nice breeze went by and Aimer smiled.
"You know, for someone who claims to hate bikes you sure look like you're having a great time." Daisy said riding right beside Aimer. She rode her bike so often she learned to do it without having her hands on the handle bars.
"Put your hands on the handle bars before you crash and die a fiery explosive death." Aimer said.
Daisy ignored her and began riding circles around her while throwing flowers at her from her basket. Daisy was about as girly as a girl could get. Her bike was pink and sparkly with a basket and bell on the front to top it all off. She wore purple shoes with her yellow dress to match her bright purple eyeshadow. She often sprinkled glitter in her curly black hair which would be all over by the end of the day. The sparkles made her brown skin glisten and her dark eyes look brighter. Aimer thought she looked beautiful but would hate when she was covered with glitter after a single hug.
Daisy began to sing. "Aimer, Aimer finally came out on the last day of summer to let the sun kiss her pale skin. Oh how pretty she looks with flowers stuck in her silky black hair."
Aimer laughed. "Hey! I spent a lot of time picking those flowers for you yet you just throw them on the ground." Aimer fake pouted.
Daisy was about to respond when out of nowhere her bike flipped. Aimer watched as in slow motion Daisy flew from her bike and fell hard to the ground.
"Daisy!" Aimer yelled worried. She hopped off her bike and let it fall to the concrete and she ran to Daisy. Daisy sat up and looked at her knee where there was a large scrape.
"Ew." Was all she said.
"Ew?" Aimer asked. "Are you alright?"
"No I'm not alright. I ripped my dress." Daisy sighed." Ugh I've never wiped out that hard. You think anyone saw?"
Aimer looked at her dumbfounded that Daisy wasn't concerned about the blood dripping down her leg.
"Do you have a napkin or anything? I don't wanna get blood on my shoes." Daisy said standing up.
"That's what your worried about?" Aimer asked while grabbing a mini first aid kit from the backpack she brought with her.
"Wow you came prepared." Daisy said laughing.
"You ride your bike around with no hands and no protective gear like a psychopath. Of course I'm prepared." Aimer cleans her wound and slaps a big band aid on top of it.
