chapter 1 the beginning

I kept on running. Running for my life from a four legged beast. I need to get back to the water. The water is where I at least know I'm safe.
"Keep on running, little fishy. Go swim to daddy. But don't forget, I'll find you."
I hear a deep voice say from the deep darkness. I look around and saw a hairy beast was in front of me and before I could react he had his menacing teeth in my throat.
I sit up fast holding my neck and gasping for breath. I look around to see that I was on my moss-covered bed and watch my tail sway with the water. I whip it to the end of it and swim for a little And was met by my best friend Lily.
"Another bad dream?"
"Worse then ever before. I just wanna be able to sleep. You?" I sigh.
"Same. Do you think we should tell dad?"
"No, dad would just tell us that it's nothing. I wish we had another parent to help but dad never talks about her."

"Alexandria? Lily?" I hear our dad call out.
"Come on, Lily." I swim towards him.
"Yes dad?" I say as Lily caught up. He smiles and pulls us into a tight hug.
"Happy birthday, my two beautiful pearls."

I forgot to tell you that Lily and I are identical twins except for our hair. My hair is an ombre of black and dark green and Lily has blonde and red.

We hug back and thank him. The day was pretty eventful we swam around with dad and went hunting for our dinner. Suddenly I felt something was wrong and I look over at Lily and saw she felt the same.
We excused ourselves and went to our rooms.
Suddenly I felt like I couldn't breath.
"Li-" was all I was able to get out as water started to fill up my lungs.

I look down to see that my tail was gone and replaced with weird limbs in its place.
Lily looks shocked at me and grabs me and swims me out to the surface. I coughed up all the water I inhaled and gasp.

"What the hell?" I say as I sat on the sand.
"Whatever it is, I don't think it's over." She groaned. And with that my head started to pound as my vision got stronger. Then joints started to pop out of place and popping back into a new place and saw lily's eyes glowing a deep gold. I looked down at my hands and arms to see white hair and black nails growing and then everything just froze.

I waited a second before I slowly opened them. I look over at Lily to see a blonde looking thing where she was just standing. I walk back to the water to see my reflection. Then I look back at Lily and ran to her scared. The first time not knowing what to do.
Suddenly I hear growling noises surrounding us and we stood with out backs towards each other.

'who are you and what are you doing on my territory!' A deep heavenly voice said inside my voice. So heavenly it made my legs go weak.
We didn't answer because we were being disrespectful. It was because we didn't know how.
'I asked you a question, and I demand an answer, little wolf.'

His voice was making me feel all out of wack and the next thing I know I am laying on my back for some odd reason and all of a sudden another voice came.

'Sir, I'm not sure if they know how two answer. I'm censing that this is their first transformation.'

Demitri's POV

I could smell my mate by the water so I ran to see two unknown female wolves freaking out and I let out a growl and my men followed suite.

When they didn't answer me when I asked them who they were  and why they were here, one of them looked like they were thinking for a second and then laid down in front of me and showed me submission showing me that they were in no danger. And that when she did that's when it kicked in.
She was my mate that I was smelling.

'Mate'
Her and my wolf said in unison.
