"So Mr. Payne, you are saying that you were talking to Mr. Hayward, when Simon dropped dead," Jade confirmed.
Liam nodded seriously, sparing a glance at the couch where others were sitting. Jade followed his gaze, her pen ticked continously as she calculated the odds. There had been more serious and dangerous murders, she recalled but none intrigued her more than this. She couldn't pinpoint a single reason why. Her stormy blue-green eyes focused on Liam who was staring at the table intently. Jade cleared her throat to draw his attention. He focused his attention back on her. Jade wanted answers and she knew when you are dealing with high profile cases like this, you have to be shrewd to get your job done. The question was how much deep she had to go, in order to solve this.
"Liam, who can kill him?" Jade questioned bluntly. Liam’s eyes widened. He knew he had schooled his emotions throughout the interrogation with the sole purpose to avoid being questioned difficult.

"I'm not sure, Simon had a lot enemies, but someone who can kill him or would go so deep to remove him from the picture is pretty complicated." Liam answered.
Jade kept her scrutiny thorough but something about Liam’s answer made her recalculate the steps she thought would undertake.
Jade couldn't back out, so she threw the one question she thought might revoke a reaction from him, "Do you suspect anyone, Mr. Payne?"

"Liam, this is for the best. Harry and Louis cannot be seen together." Simon decided.
Liam frowned, "Simon, this is not done, they love each other and most importantly their distance might affect the band."
Simon scowled before bringing his infamous smirk on, "Payne I thought you wanted a break for your sister's delivery, and the hospital you decided for her will cost a fortune for her, but I could pull some strings you know!"
That's it, Liam sprung up, "You wouldn't dare"
Simon laughed.
Liam slammed his fist down on the table, the contents resetting with the pressure of it, "I'll kill you."
Simon composed, "Do as I say".
Liam turned around and left the room, closing the door with a loud thud.

"I don't know, but I think Zayn can." Liam answered.
Strange, Jade thought.
Liam broke her out of her reverie, "Are we done, Officer?"
Jade looked at him for a moment before nodding her head to let him know that for then, they were done.
