Second Chance at First Day

It's been four days since Genji woke up in his hospital bed, and now he was sitting in a secluded room with Black Canary, who sat across from him in a comfy chair while he sat on the couch, his elbows on his knees as he's bent over looking at the floor.

"Genji," Canary said, getting Genji to look up from the floor to her.

"It's been four days since you woke up. I know it's hard, but you need to talk to me about it," Canary said as Genji looked away from her, showing his displeasure talking about his experience as he thought back to when he first woke up.

~4 Days Ago~

Genji woke up with a start as he panicked, looking around to find himself in an all-white room with a one-way mirror across from him. Thinking he was still captured, Genji took off the monitors and pulled out the I.V. before jumping off his bed and rushing to the door. Not wasting a second, Genji spartan kicked the door, causing it to fly off its hinges and crash into the wall opposite him, making the alarms go off.

Rushing out of his room, Genji ran down the hallway before a man appeared around the corner in jeans, leaving his bare chest exposed. Genji didn't immediately recognize the person since his body was in fight or flight mode, and he still thought he was captured. So Genji narrowed his eyes in determination and focused as he pushed off the ground, becoming a red blur to the person in front of him. Only reappearing in the air to the person's left, they looked at Genji's face to see his face shadowed and his eyes were glowing red. The person threw their arms up just in time to catch a spinning kick to the forearm, which sent them flying down the hallway and crashing into another person.

Genji didn't wait for a second as he continued to sprint for what he hoped was the exit, only to come into a big open area that he thought he recognized.

"Genji!" a person yelled as Genji spun around with a spinning back fist catching the person in the face and making them stumble back. Genji quickly spun and swept their legs before kicking them while still in the air, sending them flying across the room and crashing into the wall as they fell to the ground in pain.

"Snake Eyes! Standdown!" a man ordered as Genji spun around in a martial arts stance, ready to take on whoever was next, only to find Batman standing there with Robin as the two looked tensed, prepared to attack.

Genji's eyes widened in realization as he slowly relaxed and looked back at the person he fought to find, Kaldur, being helped up off the floor by Conner, who he now recognized as the barechested guy from earlier.

The Zeta Tube behind Batman whirred as the computer announced Artemis and Kid Flash's entrance as the two ran out in full costume, ready for a fight.

"What's going on?" Artemis asked immediately.

"Genji woke up and kicked our asses," Conner said frustratedly.

"Genji!" Artemis yelled happily, now noticing he was awake. And before Batman could stop her, she rushed over to Genji and caught him in a hug as Genji looked shocked and confused.

"Oh my god, I'm so happy you're awake," Artemis said into his chest as a few tears leaked out.

It took Genji a moment before he relaxed and returned Artemis's hug.

When everything calmed down, Genji was back in his room wearing a pair of black sweats as he looked at himself in a mirror, noticing he got taller and had more muscle but still stayed lean and was even more toned than before. After looking at his body, his eyes traveled up to his face, seeing that his iris were now red and his hair was black and seemed to lay back and was more spiky than usual. His facial structure had changed slightly as there was hardly any baby fat, leaving a narrow, handsome face with a perfect jawline.
