Note: Lizzie is short for Elizabeth, and she has the water crystal. Also, Katherine's father is in the U.S. Air Force and works at Area 51.

Both Granite's and Katherine's minds flashed to that morning when they'd fought over if they could visit their families or not.
Granite and Lizzie had said no, so Katherine ran off into the woods. Granite'd gone after her, and when he couldn't find her, he decided to teleport to her father's, just to check.
As he did so, Katherine grabbed his wrist from behind. They both appeared at her father's doorstep, just as he ran out from the house. "Shoo! You can't be here, they're coming!
Granite immediately looked at the sky and saw a helicopter coming towards them. Katherine's father took out a black device and twisted a knob on it. The helicopter failed, and the military people inside jumped out and used black paragliders to get even closer as the copter crashed behind them.
Kathy's father pushed her into Granite. "Go! Get her out of here! I'll be fine!"
Katherine reached out her hands towards him as a tear streaked down her pale, shaking face, and Granite teleported them away.

Granite looked at the mossy grass. "I'm sorry, I should go make sure he's okay." He said as he stepped away.
Katherine grabbed his hand, stopping him. "You can't. They might still be there....and I-I...I can't let you get hurt!"
"I-I'll be fine." Granite said softly, staring at Kathy's hand.
"They...won't hurt him, they want us not him. If you don't go, they won't hurt him... stay here please?"
Granite gazed into her soft warm green, moss colored eyes and nodded. "Okay."
Aruna cleared her throat. "Perhaps you can fill me in?"
Granite looked at Katherine for permission. "Maybe...a little later.." She said.
Aruna nodded, confused, then walked to the tent and laid down on the cot.
Katherine and Granite lay down on the grass and gazed up at the stars. They talked for a little, then Kathy finally fell asleep. Granite made sure she was sleeping then got up and walked towards the tree line.
"You're going to check on her father, aren't you?" Cam a voice from behind.
Granite turned around to see that Aruna had snuck up on him. "I have to, it was my fault anyway."
"Well then, can I help?"
"Jus keep on eye on Katherine until I come back."
"You like her don't you." Aruna stated more as a fact than a question.
Granite uncomfortably looked at the ground and sighed. "Even if I did, we're from different planets, from her eyes two different species, there's no way it'd work out."
"Thinks we're wo different species huh? What, did you change sme of your DNA and send us o Earth as an experiment?"
Granite froze, then composed his face. "f course not! hat's ridiculous!"
"Sure, just g, you may not have much time before she wakes up."
Granite saluted and disappeared.
