Robert is a lawyer, wealthy and well liked amongst his friends. Melina is his trophy wife, beautiful and graceful, her whole life revolving around that of her husband. Robert and Melina consider their image the most important thing. The Clairmont family looks perfect on the outside, but the inside is covered in scars and hidden secrets.
Robert and Melina have five beautiful daughters, each with dark flowing hair and emerald green eyes. Each with elegant features, academic talent, and musical voices. Each taught that money and status will get them farther than smarts ever will. The five Clairmont daughters are each only a year apart in age; Cate, Esme, Lilia, Izzy and me, Adelaide, the eldest.
We are the Clairmont family. We're good in school, impeccably beautiful, and popular. But I know now that all that glitters isn't gold.
