I used to write my name in the sand on the beach hoping that it would stay there for as long as time moved. But the fates do not work in that way. For my name would simply be washed away as the tide came in leaving a perfectly fresh canvas for the next little girl to write their name on. Everyone used to have their period of innocence. Where they would believe things that were unattainable such as love, fame, or fortune. But as time moved on we would all learn the crushing truth that's not how the world worked it did not revolve around one person. The world cannot revolve around just one because everyone has their own life stories to share. And the more the hourglass flows the more innocence is lost because no one can stay in that blissful period forever.
