You read silently until dinner, which was a huge feast. Beidou said they always had a feast at the beginning of every voyage, and you weren't complaining. It was some of the best food you'd ever had in your life.
Then you, Heizou, and the other passengers retreated to your cabins. You and Heizou paused outside your doors, as you'd not spoken since the incident earlier, and had consumed a fair amount of alcohol at dinner.
"Hey, about earlier..."
You both started, then laughed when you realized.
"Agree to just never mention it again?"
You said with half a smile.
"Uh, right, of course"
You both stepped into your rooms, and it sounded like you even synchronized the closing of your doors, which made you laugh a little. You changed and got ready for bed and found yourself drifting off to sleep. A little while later, you felt a large pressure on top of you. Not wanting to be in any kind of danger as your vision was inside the end table next to you, you slowly peeked one of your eyes open, to vaguely see Heizou's figure sprawled on top of you. You mustered a light, sleepy smile and thought to yourself that if he wanted a hug he could have just asked. You fell back asleep with the sound of his breathing being a sort of calming white noise. However, when you awoke, Heizou was nowhere to be seen, although you could see that there was a hastily scribbled note on your nightstand.

*thank you for not waking me when you discovered me last night.

Your favorite detective, Heizou*

This caused you to laugh a little and brightened your morning just a bit. You got dressed, brushed your hair and teeth, and then grabbed a banana you had packed and ate that for breakfast because ✨️potassium✨️ and walked out to seek some interesting conversations rather than staying in and reading all day. And interesting conversation you did find, with the boy who seemed to be the Captain's adopted son. His name was Kazuha, and he was a refugee samurai whose friend had been killed because of the vision hunt decree. You hadn't been targeted because 1. You didn't dress like a regular vision holder and 2. The legendary Traveler had recently convinced the Shogun to abolish the decree and killed one of the Fatui harbingers, La Signora. So you were safe, however, Kazuha explained that many had not been so lucky.
"Hey, whatcha guys talking about?"
Heizou asked passive aggressively as he swung his arm across your shoulder.
