Rapid footsteps were heard right outside of a building.

"Hey, Kanae-Chan~!" You chimed, as you opened the sliding doors to the Butterfly Estate. You looked around, not seeing her nor feeling her presence. You strode in, closing the door behind you.

This place is supervised by Kanae as of now, acting as a medical relief site. From what Kagaya told you, the Butterfly Estate was built from Kanae's family wealth.

Since becoming a Demon Slayer, one is prone to die young. So, the money earned is not a priority anymore, and Kanae built the Butterfly Estate for the Demon Slayer Corp's use.

Enough explaining, you strode down the hallway, trying to find the female. Recognizing some of the rooms you visited to visit several wounded comrades, and sometimes yourself. Though, when it comes to you... It's just a small case like self-cutting when training.

"Yes?" Kanae replied after finding the caller. She smiled at you, like always. you smiled back, of course.

"What do you need?"

"Well, nothing. My mission was over in an instant, and I was bored... So I came here, to see you!" You exclaimed happily. Kanae giggled at your statement and motioned you to follow her as she started to walk towards the kitchen.

"Well, in that case, why don't you come and help me in the kitchen. It's almost lunch and I still have some patients that still need to be tended to" She explained to you.

You just nodded and rolled your Haori and pulled out some strings to tie the sleaves

"Consider it done! I love cooking!" You gave a thumbs up and ran past her to where the kitchen is.

She giggled slightly at your antics, not realizing an angry Shinobu watching from another room.

"Okay! So, what should I cook?" You said to yourself as you think of some dishes that you could cook. 'Well, considering that we're having lunch, maybe rice isn't a good idea. Something light for the stomach, and refreshing...'

You looked into the cupboard and the shelves, trying to get some ideas to cook. Then, you came across a familiar-looking molded pan.

"Ah! Let's make...!!"

"Takoyaki?" Shinobu asked. She looked at the dish in delight and hunger, mostly because she just finished a training routine and smelled the Takoyaki.

"Yep! I bought the ingredients at the village nearby"

"But, isn't octopus quite expensive at this time of the year?" She asked worriedly, which was kinda out of character for her since she 'hated' the new Hashira after all.

"Well, yeah. But that's none of your concern! I even barely used my earned money, so I had plenty" You shrugged, taking a piece and sending it down to the endless pit of your stomach.

"Hm~ What is this smell? Delicious~" Kanae said as she walk into the Kitchen. Her eyes sparkled when she sees the Takoyaki on the table.

"Wow! Takoyakis? No wonder it smelled good!" She exclaimed and quickly made her way to the table, and ate one.
