   It sang to him, he could hear it clearly. No one else could. They were all too preoccupied with their dull, boring lives, that they could not hear it, despite being surrounded by it. But he did. It spoke to him. At first, it was unspecific, and vague. Then the melodies became clearer. It spoke to him specifically and only to him, he was sure of it. He had realized that in the deep caverns, surrounded by that glorious violet glow. The very walls of the cavern echoed its melodies, growing louder the more time he spent near the violet lakes. The others seemed worried, but he could tell that they were deaf to its songs. But he wanted to converse with it, to learn its melodies. And soon he would, soon he would show the others what their lives had been missing. Soon, they would know its song.
