It was a very sunny bright day. Not to much going on. Summer had just started which was a good thing. Now rice and other foods become more available which means cost will go down. Which is good for my mom and dad they don't have to work as much as they have need to in the other seasons.
My mom was a shop clerks she worked in a small shops in town it was owned by her good friend my god mother so she made fair money for a woman. My father on the other hand worked in business he made some really good money but in the end we still came short for middle or noble class.
I had two younger siblings that I normal have to look after when my parents were out for the day. My mom normal left noon and come home in twilight. Which was dangerous but she made it home very safe.
Father worked In the early mornings. Till about evening which was normal. So I had the fun job like I said to watch my younger siblings which I didn't Mind at all they were fun to take care of. I loved them so much it wasn't a job to me it was more like fun.
Anyway, my parents where off today they had told me to go down to the market to get some food so that we didn't have to go out later this week for food.
So I went. My younger sister went with me. She was a very quiet girl. She had dark brown hair that faded into white tips at the bottom. She was a doll. Big bright green eyes. With a very fair complexion. Some people always asked how we didn't fry when we walked into the sun.
Because all of us have very pale complexion we get that from our mother. As we where walking yumi asked if she could get some thing sweet to snack on.
I have to spoil her from time to time so I got her something. I was a sucker. We walked up and I asked for two of them one for yumi and the other for ken.
I'm sure he would like it but not your parents they didn't like when we kids had something sweet it was always because we became very overwhelming to them. We would be hyper and not calm down for hours at end.
We got all that we need and also stopped by where mom worked so we could give something to Mrs.tatashi. As a thanks for her hiring mom and thanks for just being her.
She knows that she does a lot for us and we are more than very appreciative of it. So this is our way for saying thank you.
We got in and we saw her she was just as bright as ever. "Good afternoon my lady's what can I do for you?" She asked as she come to give me and yumi a big bear hug.
"We came to give these to you ma'am these are from our mother. As a thanks!" I told her she rolled her eyes she really didn't like it when we do this.
"I told your mother not to worry about it!" "I know but that the person she is!" We talked for a little bit before she got busy again.
As we where walking back The sun started to set. Mother and father told us never to come home during the dark always be home before sun set. Because bad things happen during that time.
Well today was one of those day where it didn't matter every much. We got home mom was very happy to see us. Father was staring to make dinner when we walked in the door.
As we all talked about our day I helped the young ones take a bath. Which mother was very happy about. We ate dinner and then we where getting ready to go to bed. But someThing happened.
"Say here" my dad said as he got the door. Right as he was goi g to say hello a demon came and but his head off. My mother screamed it was ear bleeding. I hid for my life because I didn't know what else to do. So I hid. It wasn't the best option I knew that later. But at the time it was.
I came out when all the screaming was down. "Hello?" I called out because I didn't know what had happened. When I walked into the main room my family had been killed.
I wanted to scream I wanted to cry but all I could do was sit there and stare at the bloody scene. Then the demon was behind be scoffing at me. How I was weak. But my mind went blank. When I saw someone help me. It was odd never have I seen anything like that.
Someone beheaded the demon. My eyes where big from the shock of what the hell had just happened. The man who saved my life looked at me his hair was yellow that faded into red. He had big eye brows. I thought it was kinda funny.
But I couldn't laugh. I was to caught up in all that had just happened that I couldn't think very well.
"Are you okay?" He asked. "Was this your family?" He asked and I nodded. Before I could answer. I couldn't find words to describe anything. They where caught in my throat.
He nodded. "Are you okay? Like are you injured?" I shook my head no. He nodded "well we need to get you somewhere. I know." He started to stand up.
He wait for me. I stood up very wabbly I have been sitting for a while I don't know how long. My legs feel asleep. I looked back at my parents.
I stood at the door not able to go anywhere this wasn't right. I should pay respect and give them some kind of funeral right?
He must have known because I couldn't move. So and we did what I was thinking. He helped. Which I was very happy about.
After we had gotten that done it was almost night. He was worried that something bad would happen. So he picked me up and we headed off. I will never forget this night for the rest of my life. And how I let my family die and I couldn't do anything.
