It was as if someone had slapped her right across her face; her thoughts started running a thousand miles per hour.

Perrie was going to marry Alex? Why hadn't she told her? Wasn't she invited? It was true that she wasn't the best Alex supporter, but she didn't hate him. Not to the point to be banned of her best friend's wedding... right?

Wait, was this what Leigh-Anne was talking about this morning?... so, she knew? Of course. Perrie and Leigh's chat must be filled with florists and catering recommendations for their wedding receptions, while she just kept sending them memes and funny videos at three in the morning.

She was confused, shocked, but also disappointed. And at the same time, she tried to chill out, take a step back, and reflect on possible explanations; all the signs told her Perrie's wedding was bound to happen, but something inside of her still refused to believe it.

"Look who's here!"

As if by magic, and luckily for her, her whole mood turned upside down once she turned around and found her friend coming to the living room with her son in her arms.

"Axeeel!" she chanted softly, heart melted by the little boy.

Perrie's baby hadn't been successfully put down to bed, Jade could notice. And his sleepy face hadn't recognized her, but he looked definitely intrigued.

"Is aunty Jade!" she sweetly reminded him.

Immediately after, and once he was close enough, he raised his little arms towards her, instinctively.

"Oh, I think he knows!" Perrie giggled. Without thinking twice, she entrusted her with the most precious thing she owned.

Jade took the soft little body in her arms and sighed in love when the little baby didn't hesitate on resting his little head on her shoulder. It was incredible how much she loved that little man.

"Oh, look at him. He's such a fan" the blonde smiled, endearingly. "I'm sure he missed you so much."

And just like that, Jade's worries were erased from her mind.

They came back slowly 'til a few minutes later, when they left Axel with his nanny and dismissed her, to finally leave the house.

"You look gorgeous tonight by the way" Perrie pulled her out of her thoughts as they walked to Beca's car.

"Thanks. You too" Jade replied politely, but didn't stop to look at her, which the blonde found bizarre.

"Are you okay?" she asked her, but Jade didn't have time to answer.

"Finally!" they heard the voice of Chloe from the passenger window.

So, she had switched seats, Jade thought, which meant now she had to share the back seat with Perrie. Okay, it was fine... hopefully that weird, jittery feeling in her belly would stay inside of her.

"Get in, nerds!" Beca hurried them. "We were about to call for delivery."

The four women arrived to The Palm, a nice indoor restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. Chloe went ahead and asked for the table for four booked under her name. A moment after, they were escorted to their table.
