Saturday
Author POV
The rain was coming down heavily at the center of Busan, people rushing to their cars with their bags covering their heads. The forecast hadn't called for any precipitation and yet the large dark clouds were ruthlessly pouring every single drop inside them. A young man takes cover under one of the boutiques, his brown hair dripping wet and leather jacket soaked in water. He sighed in irritation as he ran his fingers through his wet strands, a puff of breath reminding him just how unpredictable the weather could be in the spring time.
Once the rain had died down a bit, he adjusted his duffel bag onto the opposite shoulder before continuing down the pavement with hurried steps. His destination was only a few blocks away and he hated being late for rehearsal. With his head hung down to keep the rain out of his eyes, he failed to realize somebody had stopped in the middle of the sidewalk a couple of feet away. The younger male was busy chatting on his phone when he felt someone bump into his back. He immediately spun around to scold the stranger with a frown, but his face quickly turned into one of concern when he saw the man had fallen to the ground at his feet.
"A-are you alright, sir?" Jungkook asked as he quickly hung up his phone and shoved it into his coat pocket.
"I'm fine, no harm done..."the elder muttered as he hesitantly accepted the large right hand extended towards him.
He took in a sharp breath at the strength the stranger used to pull him to his feet, their chests almost touching from their close proximity. Thankfully the taller man had an umbrella, so they were shielded from the storm. The brown haired male couldn't help but stare up at the tall man with a dazed out expression. There was no denying that he found the polite gentleman incredibly attractive.
The man's cheek bones were well-defined and his jawline was so sharp, you could probably cut your finger if you touched it. From the looks of it, the purple haired man was around his age or perhaps a little younger. The elder man felt his mouth go dry as the mystery man simply stared down at him without saying a word. They stood frozen to the spot as people rushed past them to escape the rain. Both men were jolted from their staring contest at the sound of a car honking beside them.
"Yo, Kooks! Lets go home already," his brother, Yoongi pleaded as he tried to usher the younger over to the car.
"Hang on, hyung. I just-!"
"U-um...I should be going now too. Thanks for helping me up," the stranger informed with a bow as he began to walk away. He hardly moved an inch before Jungkook grabbed his arm. The shorter boy gave him a confused look as he waited for him to explain his odd behavior.
"Where are you headed?" Jungkook suddenly asked with a deep voice. He wasn't entirely sure why he asked, but it probably had something to do with the fact that the stranger was nice to look at.
"W-why?" the brown haired male stuttered.
"It's raining and you don't have an umbrella," the younger male replied, pausing to glance around for emphasis. "And you only fell because I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. At the very least I can offer to drive you to your destination so can you stay dry," he added with a stoic look.
"That's not necessary. I'll be fine, r-really. The place I'm headed to is only a f-few blocks away," the elder shared as he struggled to maintain eye contact with the handsome man.
"It's really no trouble..." Jungkook insisted as he waved his hand dismissively to his brother who was still moaning about him taking forever.
"Thank you, but I'll be fine. Besides...your friend seems tired of waiting ," the shorter man noted with a small chuckle. Jungkook cracked a tiny smile at that as he stared down at the other man with an unreadable expression. "Anyways, I really must be going now."
