TO LOVE AGAIN

Chapter One

The day began like any other other, Ariana woke up feeling happy as she got out of bed and prepared for school. She was top student in her class already though haven't been in school for two weeks only since she started two weeks late. She wasn't only intelligent she had the looks of a beauty queen which made most of her classmates to despise her. Though from a poor background she had managed to enter one of the most prestigious high schools  a school for the rich and famous. It was the fourth week of school and she didn't allow the stares and insults of the others get to her. Ariana knew that she would be a target when she accepted the scholarship to study in Seat of Wisdom Collage what she didn't know was that by accepting to study there her life and future will be changed forever. 

Ariana was the first in class and as she took her seat she remembered how she got into this prestigious school. Ariana was used to being treated like and underdog by her aunt, she didn't understand why her aunt would send her to a public school while her children went to private schools. She was treated more like a maid with little time left for her to study. But Ariana didn't let the hard work get to her, she turned every block put on her path into a stepping stone and excelled in her studies. She soon caught the interest of the school principal who after listening to her story opted to send her to a private school  so she could focus on her studies. She was about to complete high school being in upper sixths preparing to write the final exams to enter the university. Ariana remembered how estatic she was when she was told by the principal she would be going to a private boarding school. She ran home to tell her aunt who didn't receive the news well. Her aunt was home serving coffee to her friend Lucia when Ariana dashed in, greeting her aunt and friend before telling her the news. "Aunty I have great news to share" Ariana said beaming with joy. "What news could you have that's making you so happy"? her aunt asked looking at her friend as she waited impatiently for Ariana to speak. "Well I received a scholarship to study at seat of Wisdom Collage!" Ariana said smiling. Our principal just offered to sponsor me she said . "What did you say?" Her aunt shouted why would anyone want to sponsor you? What have you been telling people about me?" Her aunt asked getting angry. "Nothing aunty" Ariana said looking scared. "Then how in God's name would your principal opt to sponsor you?" she thundered.
