Mei was currently sprinting from Uraraka to Iida to carry out the plan. She was able to track the clicks of her shoes as she ran. "Bakugo, Mei, come in and tell us where you are," Iida said, into the intercom from their ears. Mei explained, "I'm reeling in the fish bait." "Bakugo is fighting Midoriya, therefore our strategy is succeeding," Mei said finally. Uraraka got to the weapon. "What's going on why did you bring me to the weapon?" Uraraka inquired. Mei smirked as he stared at Iida, but the grin vanished as soon as he began speaking.
"Considering how Midoriya departed to go fight an irate Bakugo, we figured you'd follow Mei all the way here alone," Iida remarked in a malicious tone, and that's when Mei said, "Iida focus on the plan and defend the weapon."
Mei smirked at Uraraka and asked, "You know what's so amusing about heroes?" Uraraka did not respond, but she also did not attack Mei. "HOW GULLIBLE THEY ARE!" Mei exclaimed, as the Obi she rapped around began to rap tighter. The room's pillars began to crumble. Uraraka tossed some of the rocks at Mei.
Iida took advantage of his quirk and kicked his way through the rocks. Mei began to shatter more pillars until there were too many for Uraraka to float them all, but it didn't matter because they were all being destroyed by iida's powerful kicks. Uraraka used her zero gravity ability to make the pillar float as Mei was about to take it from the roots.
In a fit of rage, Mei threw more pillars down. 'I understand it now, Mei is getting quick as she smashes some of it, but some of the other sections of the pillar are vanishing,' Uraraka thought to herself as she used the pillar into a baseball bat.
However, they immediately heard a blast from the lower floor, and Iida talked into the intercom and asked bakugo, "Did you cause that blast?" Bakugo and Iida began auguring, and Mei was the sad soul who had to listen.
Uraraka dropped the pillar and tried to go in for the kill, but Mei replied in a sinister tone, "not so fast did you forget that I exist," and she punch Uraraka's side, or at least tried to. When Uraraka blocked the attack, Mei attempted a stomach punch, but it was ineffectual. Uraraka spotted Mei's vulnerability in her arms and used her quirk to raise up the pillar and try to smash her with it, but Mei used the sharp Obi to slash at the pillar instead.
"There's more to my quirk than just cutting things, you know," she said, and her Obi vanished into the rocks. Uraraka was taken aback and didn't have a plan in mind, so she had no choice but to go with the flow. That is, until Mei sliced her hard but not hard enough to break her body apart.
"You know, we could just keep stalling here till time runs out," Iida remarked, and Uraraka began to stand up, thinking to himself, "I can't let Deku down," when they heard All Might's voice say, "Bakugo, you use that pent up energy and your team will lose." Mei's eyes widened into a glare as she spoke into her intercom.
"What the earth does he mean when he says that the early blast was caused by stored energy?" Mei shouted in her ear, but Bakugo ignored her. Mei shouted again, "HEY, ARE YOU LISTENING?" This time, Bakugo responded with "HUH," but not specifically in response to Mei. After being punched in the stomach by Uraraka, Mei crouched over and tightly hugged her stomach. "Damn it, I should have been prepared for that," Mei thought as she stood up. Uraraka managed to avoid Mei's attempts to slice her with her Obi as she charged toward her while shrieking, "I'll cut you into pieces."
Mei spun around and fired the Obi at Uraraka, telling Iida to "maintain guard of the weapon, I'll buy some time," but just then, Uraraka grabbed a pillar, the floor collapsed, and a powerful blast of wind was discharged. When Mei watched Uraraka take up the pillar, she muttered, "Sorry Iida, sorry Mei," before throwing a number of rocks at the pair and Mei began to whittle them down. Uraraka then hugged the bomb. Mei mumbled, "They...won," and she was shocked. Was this their grand strategy? I believed we had a chance to win. After that, Mei responded, "Congratulations, I guess," but on the inside, she was furious.
'This is all bakugo's fault I should have fought Midoriya' she thought but kept it to herself because nobody likes a sore loser and Mei was not going to let anger get the better of her unlike some people. On the announcements they heard "hero team has won"
