Later that night it Optimus came back to base to find it super quiet. The humans went back home with their guardians, and he found you fast asleep on the med berth as he walked towards it. He had so many questions, but he knew you couldn't give him the answers he desperately wanted to hear.
"I was beginning to worry that the Decepticons got ahold of you," Ratchet came out of the hallway walking to his friend he had known almost his whole life.
"I can't believe she's right here..." He said low staring down to look at you.
Ratchet said nothing as he walked past Optimus to the side of the medical berth to take out your IV. His friend was letting his guard down right in front of him. Something he hadn't done in such a long time since he became a Prime. He put the used med stuff away and noticed the Primes optics never left you.
Now he felt the need to say something, "You know whatever memories this girl may have lost there is a slight possibility they can return. Something tells me though, that it's good she did lose them."
This time Optimus looked at him straight in the optics, "She did have fond memories. Of us. Irreplaceable ones that made her who she was." Realizing his tone was rising he sighed looking away, "I apologize for letting my emotions get the best of me. You're right. Y/N can create new ones...maybe this is for the best."
"A sparkmate?!" Ratchet questioned in surprise.
He shook his helm, "No. Not even close. By 'of us' I meant Megatron, her, and I." Although, I wish it were true, but he kept that to himself.
"I see. Well, as your trusted physician, you need to get some rest. There's no telling what tomorrow brings nowadays. We need you in top shape. She'll be here when you awake, now go." He shooed Optimus away and the Prime knew that his old friend was right.
In the morning you sat at the edge of your berth being scanned again by Ratchet. Apparently, the humans had an education system that they needed to go to for a chunk of their lives. You also got to know the names of all the Autobots and as Ratchet was checking you up he explained to you about the war, who the Autobots and Decepticons were, and you know all the fun and exciting stuff.
You were kind of sad to hear what happened, and your creators died. So, there was that. You still had absolutely no idea who Optimus was personally, or any background on yourself other than what you remember. "Anything else?" You asked with a heavy sigh.
"No," He replied. "Try changing into your Cybertronian form now."
You didn't do so at first as you brought your hands to your face flexing them. As much as no bot would admit it, you loved being a human but also equally loved your original form. And to further touch on Ratchet's storytelling to you, each bot had a holoform, which impressed you since you were the first to come up with the idea back on Cybertron. Pushing your legs up, you stood perfectly straight allowing your eyes to close bringing the image of your original body to mind.
At first, your body didn't like the sudden stress it was going through, but it eventually allowed you to revert with a small bright flash of blue light to your normal form. You felt gears shift and go back in place as you opened your eyes again to the smaller world around you now. As in, the bots were normal-sized, but now the human stuff was small.
"Feels nice to be back!" You stretched your arms out above you in a small yawn. "Now what? Are you going to send me on a patrol or—hey are you okay?" You asked hearing the clang of an instrument fall to the floor.
Ratchet couldn't believe his optics and what they were showing him. Optimus had only told him about your existence and he had no idea what you looked like. Now he wished he hadn't. Taking steps backward he ran into a metal plate knocking down a bunch of needed tools that were important to him.
