The end of the corridor came into view, moving closer with each step, a pair of large double doors adorning the otherwise almost blank wall. Roman reached them, holding a hand out once more to carefully pull the door open.

Peaking into the room beyond, Roman smiled, standing tall, entering fully. It was a lavish bed chamber, crimson and violet decor adorning the walls, hints of gold and silver shimmering in the early morning light.

The plush carpet continues partially into the room, dividing the room with its trail, the furniture hiding within sections of tile.

Turning his head, Roman smiled, quickening his pace towards a large ebony armchair, where a darkly dressed man sat.

The man looked up from the book he was reading, setting it aside as Roman got closer, a smile on his face. "Why hello, Your Majesty," he spoke, his voice silky and smooth as he stood, giving Roman a mock bow.

Roman stopped in front of the man, rolling his eyes as he held out a gloved hand. The man took it, grasping it gently in his own.

Looking up at Roman, the man smiled once more, pressing a light kiss to the back of his hand. Roman flushed lightly, pulling his hand back, clearing his throat softly. "

Hello to you, your Highness," he spoke, his eyes following the man as he stood once more. He was taller than Roman, by a couple inches or so, with a skinny, pointed face, sunken eyes, and fair skin.

His black hair was straight and spiky, with bangs that hung over his grey eyes. He was wearing a baggy, black shirt with fitted, button up pants tucked into matte black, mid calf length, pointed toe boots. The lace at the cuffs of his sleeves was delicate and handmade, weaved to mimic the form of spider webs.

"Your majesty?" The Man's voice called out, it was deep and soft, gently and teasing in its tone, playful even, and it brought a smile to Roman's lips as he looked to the man's face once more.

"Yes, Virgil?" He responded, the man's name curling off his tongue elegantly. Roman paused slightly.

How had he known the other's name? How had he-

His thoughts were cut off at the sound of laughter in the air. Looking up, he saw the man, Virgil, laughing goodnaturedly.

"I didn't know we were doing the whole first name thing, Roman," he said, saying the name with a dramatic flair.

He crossed his arms, smirking as he circled around Roman, looking into his face as Roman turned his head to follow him. "I didn't know that was anyways to talk to Royalty, Your Majesty," he said, teasingly still.

Roman chuckled prettily, smiling as he turned his head to Virgil once more. "Oh, do forgive me, your Highness! I forgot where I stand! Wouldn't you mind telling me?" Roman said, placing a hand on his forehead as he gave Virgil a playful side eye.

Chuckling softly, Virgil stopped in front of him, placing a soft hand against Roman's cheek, cupping it gently. Looking into Roman's eyes, leaning close, he spoke softly. "You're my Prince, your Majesty..." Virgil pressed a light kiss to Roman's other cheek, leaning to his ear. "My soon to be husband..."

Roman felt his eyes widen at the words, a mix of the intimacy of this moment and the message of the words filling his brain, causing him to stand still.

"I... see," Roman stuttered out, looking at Virgil's face as the man pulled back from his ear, smiling a soft, intimate smile.

"In two weeks time, we'll be together, joined in matrimony at last," Virgil smiles slightly wider, leaning closer to Roman's mouth, casting a glance down to his lips before looking back into Roman's eyes.

Roman reached a hand up, placing it over the one on his face, taking it in his own and holding it between them, a slight panic filling his mind at the realization of his situation.

"Virgil, I-" Roman started, trying to find the right words. "I don't-"
