harry potter AU: split between worlds

chapter 3

after speaking with my advisors i found myself in front of the gargoyle statues that led to the headmasters office

"could you tell the headmaster that harry potter wishes to see him" i asked the gargoyles i knew they were enchanted a moment later the statues jumped aside

"thank you" i said as i headed up the stairs to find the headmaster and another two men standing with him

"harry, i'd like to introduce, my potions master severus snape, and your godfather, sirius orion black, they new your mother and father respectively" albus said a did a hold-palm salute to each of them

"it is a pleasure to meet you both" i said severus gave a nod sirius however walked up and gave his godson a bear hug

"it is good to meet you and see you again, i am sorry for leaving you behind" sirius said i waved off his apologies

"it is fine no harm done, though i do not see you as any figure of authority in my life, headmaster that is something i wish to speak to you about your offer" i said

"of course Mr. potter" albus said

"grindelwald, i hold the name grindelwald, i have always been hadrian amos grindelwald, ever since i was brought to asteria, because i never knew my parent's i don't feel it is required of me to carry their name unofficially that is the name i prefer, officially i am sure we will learn the full extent of my name and title sooner or later" i said the headmaster nodded in understanding

"very well, Mr. grindelwald" albus said he was surprised but it didn't overtly bother him

"i would like to speak about the apprenticeship you have offered" i said

"of course please sit" the headmaster said

"i would like to accept however, i do not wish to lose the freedom i have now i have no ruling authority over me no one makes decisions for me, and i would prefer if it stayed that way, i have been ruling my territory for six years i assure you my age means nothing to my maturity" i said

"i understand completely my boy, so long as you dedicate to your studies then you will not lose your autonomy at all" dumbledore said

"good, then i do wish to accept your offer" i said he smiled brightly

"excellent my boy, we will need to head to gringotts, it may be appropriate to wear full battle armor wear you come from but this is britain you will be getting strange looks and i am sure you may have something outside of your armor, but people will expect you to wear wizards robes when seen by wizarding society, and we will need to get you a wand and also stop at gringotts" albus said while muttering other things about what was needed done

"i believe people shouldn't really see how my people tend to travel which would be to fly on the backs of our dragons, so how would you intend to get us there" i asked

"we will floo there" he said gesturing to his fireplace i eyed him in confusion 

"floo" i asked

"ah of course you probably never heard the term" he said he had overheard that the other society used a different more combative form of magic so he shouldn't be surprised, it was less to teach him, though he would have to see how powerful those spells could be before he wrote harry off entirely for combative magic

he quickly explained what floo was of which harry grasped the idea almost immediately took the floo powder entering the fireplace

"DIAGON ALLY" i shouted as i through the powder into the fire and was gone to arrive in the leaky cauldron followed swiftly by dumbledore

"will the other two be joining us headmaster" i asked he shook his head

"though sirius has not retaken over as lord black he has already made it so you take the position to add to your political power here in britain" albus said as he led the way
