I wanted to find out what was going on with Michael. What was he up to? While I was completing house hold tasks I thought about how I would do this without him finding out. I decided that I was do it when he went to his summer camp tomorrow. That shoud give me enough time to figure out what the hell he was up to.
I walked down the halls doing some feather dusting. I loved these halls they brought back fond memories. Memories of all the times the children and I played games in the hall. I wondered aimlessly down the hall and stopped when I noticed a room that brought back memories. Jerimiahs' study. He was the cousin of Charles Wilkinson. Jerimiah was gorgeous, tan skin, jet black hair, chocolate brown eyes, and a nice body. I was madly in love with him. We had a secret affair going on when he had a fiance'. Fresh out of high school is when he decided he wanted to marry Patricia Martins, and one night after I was done cooking dinner for everyone I told him how I felt and things happened. No one knows about it due to the fact it was indeed kept a secret because Mr. & Mrs. Wilkinson did not approve of us ever thinking about dating. He knew he had to keep going with his life and not get hung up over a maid, so he eventually went off to college to become a doctor. Has that happened? I have no idea because he doesn't speak to his family or his daughter he abandoned. No, I'm not saying he got me pregant oh hell no, he got his fiance' pregant and they left the baby, Emily, with Charles and Malissa to raise because they always wanted a girl. Plus they said they can't let this hold them back. 11 years later has passed and neither Jerimiah or Patricia has came back for their child. I was 18 when that all happened, and it was such a heart breaking to know that poor little Emily will never know her real parents.
I stayed in the study reflecting on all the great times we had in there. Reading, laughing, studying, joking, or being passionate we were always in this room no matter what. His smell still lingerd in this room, and if I looked hard enough I could probaly see his ass marks still on his chair. This room was huge, filled with books from wall to wall. I traced my fingers along the spines of the book and held back sobs when I seen my favorite book he use to read me in German. It was called a night to remember. Although I couldn't understand what he was saying I enjoyed listening to his voice. Nights when he would sneak me into his room I would lay on his bed for hours upon hours. After reading he would kiss me goodnight then go to sleep right next to me. I was always so thrilled to wake up next to him in the morning and see his face, but came that one morning where I woke up and he was no where to be found. Except his hand witten letter saying "I love you. But I know and you know this isn't working and we can't be together I need to focus on my career. So by the time you wake I will already be in a car driving to my University where I shall study medicine. I love you Christine you will always be in my heart." That was the hardest thing I have ever had to read tears ran down my face as I recalled the memory. My hand slowly slid down the spine of the book, and I walked away. Leaving the dark memory in the past, like the rest of the books, to collect dust and fade away.
I shut the door to that room ever so softly. Then I made my way down stairs to the living room. I went into my purse to check my phone, when I put my hand in the phone pocket it wasn't there. I turned towards the window to search, hoping the sunlight would provide more light. "Hmmm....Thats odd....Where could it of had went?" I whispered mumbling to myself. I turned around to see Jacob sitting there on the couch watching me. "Oh Jacob have you seen my phone? I need to call some people." He stared at me with his eyes wide. I stepped closer. "Jacob?" I proceeded to get closer. "Jacob this isn't funny." I was infront of him now. All he did was look up at the ceiling then he fell over unconcious. "Jacob?......" I paused. "Oh my gosh! Jacob!" I checked his pulse, his pulse was faint but he needed help. I jumped up and ran to the house phone. I picked it up to dial 911 but the phone cord was cut. "Dammit." I whispered. I ran out the front door, and ran to the neighbor's house to get a phone. I banged on their door "Mr. and Mrs. O'Conner open up please its an emergancy." Mrs. O'Conner opened the door. "What do you want?" I began to speak with gasps in between. "I need....phone....Jacob.......unconcious." She ran for the phone and called 911. She came back out to tell me that they were on their way so I ran back to check on Jacob. When I went to open the door the door was locked. I banged on the door. I remembered the hidden key under the mat and unlocked the door frantically. The door finally clicked opened and you would never believe what I saw.
