I am about to get on my school bus when I see him coming from the other direction too, Aron. He has been in this school since I'm here. or maybe even before that. I remember my brother and I used to make fun of him because he was a total dumbo. But now everything has changed, drastically. He later on became one of my all time crushes. And we have small talks occasionally, where he cracks lame jokes and I have to laugh because I'd be sitting alone if he goes away.
There's this other guy Ned, he is another weird creature. We've only started talking recently and I already hate him. He has no boundaries. You may straight up ignore him for days and he'd still show up at your table for lunch, trying to make up conversations. I guess nobody really wants to be his friend, so I just shake my head to whatever he says.
As I try to make my schedule for today, our bus reaches school. As soon as I get off, I see Natalie waiting for me near the gate. It's a relief to see her at school. We share all subjects and so we're together the whole day. She's almost my best friend. I don't make friends easily. And that's because I'm awkward.
I find it really hard to socialise. I will only talk to you if you make the first move, or else, we could be strangers for life.
This year has just started, and I already hate my life. There's shit loads of assignments and projects to do, shit loads of exams to appear. I used to be a scholar in my class, but those were old days. My life started sucking when I reached eleventh grade. Most of my friends changed schools, and those who stayed, drifted away. It was hard at first to get with it, but now I'm an average student who just wants peace and love.
The best part of the day is recess, when I, Natalie and Emma meet everyday at our fixed table. We've known each other for four years now, and they are my life.
Emma is a beautiful girl. Almost the whole school has a crush on her. But she dosen't care. She is the most outspoken out of the three of us, and that has caused a lot of controversies. She plans on making a career in dance.
The day goes by fast, with teachers coming and going.During recess Natalie tells us about her new neighbours that shifted yesterday, and that the guy, Niall, is incredibly sweet and hot. She also said that he'll join us at school from next week.
As the day ends and I'm packing up to leave for home, I get hit with someone's elbow, hard. "What the hell!"
As I turn around to see who this bastard is, my bag falls down and all the books spread out on the floor. Wow.
"I'm so sorry. I was in such a hurry I didn't see you coming."
Nobody does.
I'm kinda shocked to see the guy, he's tall and thin, with amazing curly hair and beautiful emerald eyes. I've never seen him here in the last six years. Must be someone new. Or must be someone I didn't bother to notice before.
He gathers all my books and shoves them in the bag. God, he's sexy.
"Hi, I'm Harry. Never seen you before."
I don't know what to say so I just take my bag from him.
"I'm Bethany. Nice to meet you."
"I'm sorry. I was in a hurry, didn't see you coming."
Nobody does.
I start walking towards my locker, that's mine for only a few more months, to get some books. Is he following me already?
I turn around to see him walking away towards the 'popular' group. He must be one of those idiots. Damn. Out of my league. He catches me looking at him, so I give him an awkward smile and start walking my way.
