Ajey's P.O.V:

Life is good and something that God has made worth living for me.

When she is around, all my worries and problems seem to fade away in thin air. Moreover, her presence holds the ability to sooth my heart like noone else's and now I can't even imagine it not being there in my life. She is turning into a necessity. Not that I'm complaining, though.

I'm honestly on cloud nine right now, and I am not planning to come down anytime soon.

I kicked my legs into the air while laying on bed, with excitement, as a bright smile made its way up my lips.

I checked the time on my phone in the dark. 1:30 A.M.

Thinking no one would be available right now, I got up from the bed, calming my happy and excited soul down as I made my way out of the room to get some water for myself.

I opened the door of my room and started walking towards the kitchen but I stopped on my tracks abruptly when I heard a familiar and feminine voice speaking something in a low tone.

-"For now, just go to sleep. We'll find a way and you don't have to worry about it, okay? You don't have to fear when I'm here."
She spoke and moved forward, closing the door of a random room as she came out of it.

Little did I know, that room belonged to Ritvik and the voice belonged to Trishika.

She was moving towards the staircase of the mansion, probably going back to her own room but stopped abruptly on her tracks when she saw my figure standing in the middle of the living hall at half past fucking 1 at night, with my face shocked to death.

What was Trishika doing in Ritvik's room at this hour?

By any chance, was what Aakash Bhaiya said about their relationship true?

The overthinking crept onto me and the Ajey who was happy just moments before had created a whole ass scenario in his head by himself, jumping to conclusions without even knowing the whole thing.

-"Mr. Nagar-
I mean, Ajey?"
Trishika's voice broke my trance.

-"Uh, huh?"
I replied back; confused, as her voice had startled me.

-"What are you doing here, right now? Do you need something?"
She asked in a bewildered tone with her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she came closer.

-"I..was-
I was, just here...to get some water."
I replied to her in a stuttering voice.

-"Oh, acha. Just wait a minute, I'll get it for you."
She said to me.

The next thing I knew, was that she went in the kitchen without any further reaction and returned with a glass and a bottle of water in her hand.

Trishika forwarded me the glass as I took it with shaky hands and she poured the water from the bottle into the glass.

I chugged in the water at once and somehow gathered enough courage to ask her about her whereabouts.

Inhaling a deep breath, I spoke hesitantly,

-"Uh, only if you don't mind me asking then...uh, what were you doing in Ritvik's room at this hour? I mean, aren't you supposed to be in your room, sleeping?"
I asked.
