Shoya: Hmmm...What should I get rid of..?
*Shoya knocks down photo*
*Shoya picks up photo and looks at it*
Shoya: I miss you, Daniel. I hope I see you again.
*Flashbacks to elementary school*
Shoya: Sup, Daniel?
Daniel: Hey, Shoya. How ya doing?
Young Shoya: Pretty great.
*Daniel and Shoya fist bump.*
*Daniel Smirks*
*Daniel hears noises next door while working on invention*
*Daniel sees Shoya, Kazuki and Keisuke bully Shoko*
Daniel (thinking): What the hell are they doing?!
*Daniel exits school and walks up to his car only to find two broken hearing aids on the ground*
*Daniel picks them up*
Daniel: These must be Shoko's hearing aids. I think I can fix these.
*Daniel walks back to his workshop and starts fixing the hearing aids*
*Mr Takeuchi walks in*
Mr Takeuchi: Mr Suzuki?
Daniel: Yeah?
Mr Takeuchi: I see your inventing something, what is it if I may ask?
Daniel: Oh, I am actually fixing Shokos hearing aids. They're not that broken, so I'm repairing them.
Mr Takeuchi: Wow, you can really fix anything, can you?
Daniel: I guess I can.
Mr Takeuchi: Well, I have a class to attend now, see you later.
Daniel: Okay, good luck.
*Daniel waves to Mr Takeuchi and Mr Takeuchi leaves*
*Daniel sighs*
Daniel (thinking): Why are you bullying her, Shoya? What happened to you?
*The Next Day*
Principal: Uhh, Daniel?
Daniel: Yes?
Principal: Did you by any chance witness Shoko being bullied?
Daniel: No, I haven't.
Daniel: Why? Did something happen?
Principal: *sigh* Well, Shoko is absent today and the school received a phone call from Shoko's mom. For more then 3 weeks, eight of Shoko's hearing aids have been broken or went missing. Shoko's mother believes Shoko is being bullied, so if anyone witnessed Shoko being harassed or abused at school, I need you to come forward and tell us.
Daniel: I see.
Daniel: I think a little bit of times, Shoya bullies her. But not very badly, only teases her, that's all.
Principal: Teases?
Daniel: Yeah, he was just messing around and all. He didn't really mean it or did anything that bad.
Principal: Well, thank you for telling us. I have to head to Shoko's class now and talk to the other students about this.
Daniel: Oh, wait. Before you go, I fixed a pair of Shoko's hearing aids that Shoya broke one day. Try to give this to Shoko's mother or anyone that can give this to her.
