The Beginning

Hey all! Just a reminder all Greek will be in italics so if you see those then Dimitra is speaking in Greek. I don't know any so I apologize if it gets confusing. Also should note any instances in which she speaks to/ hears a plant the plant's voice will be noted in...bold italics.

Dimitra awoke the next day long before the sun coming out of her trance like state feeling totally well rested. She smiled at the plants in her room as she stretched.

"Good morning little things." She said as she got up hearing the plants reply with their own various greetings.

"Now what shall we wear today?" She hummed to herself as she headed to her closet.

"Dimitra..." A voice called from the kitchen catching her attention. Heading into the kitchen she was greeted by the sight of the Butterfly Orchid who's leaves seemed to be reaching for her.

"Let me choose..." The flower's voice piped up again it's voice soft and gentle almost like a whispering breeze blowing through her mind.

"Alright. You must be lonely always being out here in the kitchen anyways." Dimitra said with a fond smile as she picked up the potted flower and carried it into her room setting it on her desk by the window where it could get some light. Heading into her closet she pulled out a few outfit choices showing the surrounding plants who would vocalize their opinions. It took a bit but soon they all settled on a long sleeved, baggy peach colored sweater tucked into a knee length white skirt dotted with little red flowers, a simple small chained gold necklace with a gold butterfly charm and a pair tan of sandal like wedges. She gave herself a little twirl in the mirror.

"Looks good guys! Now for make up!" Dimitra said keeping it simple and natural. She tossed her hair up in a messy bun using the vine in her hair to tie it off while the flowers shifted to sit almost like a crown on her head. She looked rather pleased as she went about caring for her plants. Once that was finished she spent the remaining two hours before school making sure she had everything she needed and packing away her scattered homework from the night before when she neglected to put it away.

"Alright everyone I'm off to school I'll see you later!" She called out to her plants when the time came for her to head to school. Dimitra locked up before she headed to her car. She tossed her backpack in the passenger seat as she settled in and went to start her car. She turned the ignition and the old Bug immediately stalled.

"No! No please don't do this!" She begged the car trying a few more times to unsuccessfully start her car. She gently banged her forehead against her steering wheel before she got out of the car and grabbed her backpack. She would have to walk to school.

"You picked a fine day to not start. These shoes aren't exactly made for walking long distances and I don't have time to change." Dimitra grumbled glaring at her car before she started her walk. She prayed to the gods for mercy the longer she walked. The only positive side was the fact that she had the trees and various other plant life to talk to. Especially since the animals were still weary of her clearly having not met one of her kind before. She chatted away to the forest as she walked not really paying attention to how much time had actually passed before the sound of a car rumbling down the dirt road caught her attention. Down the road rumbled a Porsche which seemed a little too expensive to be driving down a dirt road in Dimitra's opinion. The car coming to a stop by Dimitra as the window rolled down to reveal a smiling Alice and a blonde who Dimitra could only assume was Jasper.

"Hey do you need a ride?" Alice asked brightly as Dimitra stared on in confusion.

"Uh sure. But what are you guys doing so far out from town?" Dimitra asked confused as she slid into the back seat of the car.
