The Revenge

Author's note: Although It isn't as big as the first part, it's fun to read, and I will make sure to make Part 3 more interesting.
12 years later...
       Jordan came back home after a long busy day. "Honey, I'm home." Jordan said as little Bonus walked up to him:" Daddy, You're back! Can we play together?"Bonus asked." Ofcourse little dude, just where is your mommy?" Jordan agreed as Bonus pointed up stairs. He knocked on her door:" Can I come in?" Jordan asked. "Sure!" Mady agreed. He entered the room to see her looking at Bonus's rock." Are you still looking at that Rock that Bonus gave us before he... you know?" Jordan asked. "Yeah, I'm just confused because he said when the time comes you'll understand the purpose of this rock. I'm trying to analyze and do experiments on it but there is like no response." Maddison answered. "Did you go to Bonus's grave today?" Jordan shook his head:" I was about to go, but I thought why not go and see what you guys are up to. Ok, I'm going, plus did I tell you that my manager gave me a small vacation? It has been very long since I sat with you guys." Jordan said as he left Mady's room. As he was about to go to the cemetery, Bonus grabbed his hand:" Where are you going now dad? I thought we were going to play together." Bonus almost cried as Jordan crouched and put his hands on Bonus's shoulder:" Listen, I just want to go meet an old friend of mine, and I'll be back within a minute."
"Can I atleast go with you? You always go to your friend, but I've never seen him before." Bonus stated.
Jordan sighed and noded. He lifted up the 5 year old boy and headed towards the cemetery." Daddy, isn't this the place where people who die are placed?"
"How do you know that?" Jordan was confused.
"Everytime you watch the news, something pops up sayng that this amount of people have died and are placed in a weird shaped box."
Jordan smiled and said in his own mind:" (he is starting to learn about life pretty fast, that's my boy) Well um, ya this is called a cemetery."
"A cemetewy." Bonus repeated after Jordan." Wait didn't you say we were going to meet your friend?"
Jordan tried not to tear up infront of his kid. Jordan was silent the entire time while Bonus was confused. They finally arrived to Bonus's tomb. "Bonus, say hi to... Bonus."
"Why does he have the same name as me , and why is he in this weird looking box?"
"Well um, I named you Bonus because my old friend, who's name is also Bonus, is... dead, and I want to feel like he is still around." Jordan answered.
"How did he die?"Bonus asked as Jordan looked up to the sky and a tear dropped from his eye to Bonus's grave.
"Listen, why don't we go back home, and I'll tell you a story." Jordan suggested.
"Can you tell me you guys' story?" Bonus got happy.
"Fine, but first let's um, pay respect."
Bonus did so as they left the cemetery and were on their way back home.
"Dad."
"Yes Bonus?"
"Was mom associated with you guys? Like were you guys all friends or is mom just like a random women you met?" Bonus asked.
"Well, Bonus, Mady, and I were a group of friends, and before Bonus died, he told us to stay together forever and not seperate from each other to keep our friendship."
"So, you're saying that Bonus, your friend, is the one who made you and mom marry each other." Bonus asked.
"Yes."
They finally arrived back home.
"You guys are finally back. Come here little guy, I've missed you so much, did you have fun with daddy."Mady said as she lifted Bonus up, hugged and kissed him on the cheek.
"Yes mommy!"
"So, you finally decided to take a break from experimenting on that rock." Jordan said.
"Yeah, I'm getting pretty tired plus I need to cook dinner for you too."
"That smells amazing, what are you cooking?"
"Oh, the traditional candian dinner, poutine, with some butter tarts as a desert." Maddison answered.
Dinner was ready, everyone sat on the kitchen table and ate. After 15 minutes, they finished dinner and deided to rest a little while Mady was doing the dishes.
"Honey, what day is it today?" Jordan asked.
"Oh, it is June 26." Mady answered. Jordan smiled knowing that their marriage anniversary is tomorrow as well as their friend anniversary. It was getting late, so each one of them decided to go to sleep.
On 3 a.m, Mady woke up to a blue light coming from her science lab. She went to check it out to see that Bonus's rock was the one shining. Mady was amazed and woke up Jordan silently without waking up little Bonus.
"Look at this Jordan!" Mady said.
"What time is it now? It's 3 a.m."
"Wait! Did you say 3 a.m?!" Mady asked.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Is this rock related to... ghosts?"
"What? What does that have to do with ghosts?"
"I think Bonus is giving us a hint using this rock." Mady stated." I think he wants us to... go to the... Deane house again."
"Ok first things first, how do you know, and second, Bonus told us to never ever go back to that house so how is he the one giving us the hint."
"You literally just said it. He told us to never go back until we understand and know the truth. It's like hes trying to contact us from the other side!"
"And you say I'm crazy, girl!" Jordan stated.
"Ok, it's pretty late, and I am not able to think properly, so I guess I'll be doing lots of scientific expirements."
"Alright, goodnight."
As Mady went to sleep, Jordan went to the cemetery to visit Bonus." Hey dude, I know it's pretty late and I should be asleep, but I brought this to you, the rock you gave us, here I'll put it right there for you." Jordan waited for a couple of minutes." I knew it, it's just a rock and there's nothing special about except that it is the only thing that is left from Bonus. I guess I'll go back home, I don't know what I was thinking." Jordan got up and headed towards his house." Oh, I almost forgot the stone." He turned around to grab the stone to see that it was lighting up, and was starting to crack." Oh my god... Bonus!"
The next day...
Jordan woke up.
"Oh my god, I slept very well, oh wait, WHAT TIME IS IT? IT'S 11 A.M! I SHOULD BE AT WORK!" Jordan got up and wore his clothes, and went down stairs.
"Hi honey, hi Bonus, bye honey, bye Bonus!"
"What? Where are you going and why are you wearing your work clothes?" Mady asked getting confused.
"CAN'T YOU SEE I'M LATE FOR WORK?" Jordan said as Mady started laughing.
"Wait why are you laughing?"
"You have a vacation, Idiot." Mady said.
"Oh my god." Jordan said as he dropped on the floor.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm just disappointed in myself."
"Breakfast is ready, boys."
"Thanks Mady."
"Thanks Mommy!"
Each one of them ate their plate that included scrambled eggs, bacon on the side, and some beef.
"Ooh, that felt good, I don't even remember the last time I ate breakfast with you guys."
"Your welcome!" Mady said.
"Um, Mady can I tell you something?"
"Ofcourse!"
"On 3 a.m, we woke up due to the rock lighting up. Well, when you went to sleep, I went towards Bonus, and um, the rock lighted up even more and is starting to crack."
"Really!"
"Yeah, if you want go se-" Jordan stopped mid-sentence as Mady ran at the speed of light towards her science lab.
"Um, okay. I guess I'll go out to bring some flowers and something for our anniversary... and grab flowers for Bonus." Jordan went out with Bonus, and drove towards the flower shop using his Tesla model X. He grabbed two different color flowers, pink for Mady since it's her favourite, and yellow for Bonus as well.
"Alright, now... what am I supposed to bring as a gift for Mady? OH NO! Do I bring like a nice looking dress? No, she has alot of them. Maybe a perfume? No, she has Anosmia. What Should I get, bro?"Jordan said.
"Daddy, why don't you get her like a necklace with you guy's names on it? That would be nice."
"I mean... THAT'S AN INCREDIBLE IDEA, THANK YOU SON." Jordan said as he hugged Bonus.
"Dad, leave me alone, you're hurting me."
"Sorry son, but you're just clever!"
Both of them drove towards a jewellery shop.
"Um hi, can I just see that necklace right here."
"Ofcourse my good sir." The jewellery man said.
The necklace was amazing! It had 3 hearts in total, and was made out of 24k gold.
"I would like to get that, but can you just put on each heart a letter please?"
"Ofcourse señor. Just tell me the letters, and I'll do it."
"The letters are J, M, and B please." Jordan stated.
"Coming right up."
The guy finished within a couple of minutes, and handed it over to Jordan.
"This looks amazing! How much does it cost?" Jordan said.
"Um, just 5,572$ my good sir."
Jordan looked at him, pulled out his pocket, and as he opened it, he saw no money except for his credit card.
"Do I really have to buy it with my credit card?" Jordan sighed.
"Well, although I'm not allowed, for you my good sir, I'll make it 5000$."
"That's better... I guess."
He handed over his credit card, bought it successfully, put it in a fabulous box, in a red bag.
"Thanks son, without you, I don't know what I would do."
"No problem dad."
As Jordan was on his way back home, he got a call from Mady.
"Yes honey?"
"Come back home right now!"
"Are you mad or-"
"Just come!"
"Alright alright, jesus, calm down."
He hanged up, and arrived." Mady, I'm home."
"Come up stairs!"
Jordan went up stairs to see that the stone was cracked open and was releasing amazing energy out of it.
"Wow! What happened?"
"The stone. That's what Bonus ment. Jordan, it contains impressive sealing energy that can seal anything in this world."
"Wait. Does that mean Bonus wants us to..."
Mady noded. "What about Bonus... I mean Our son so you don't get confused... what do we do with him, we can't leave a 5 year old in this big house all alone."
Mady smiled." I know exactly who I should take him to."
They went to the ghost patrol station.
"It has been a very long time since we went here huh." Jordan said.
They went inside.
"Hey Stephanie!" Mady said.
"Hey Mady!" The lady on the front counter (a character from the other story) said.
"Long time no see. How have you been doing?"
"Pretty good. What about you?"
"Same. I have a question."
"Go ahead."
"Are you still babysitting kids?"
"Well ofcourse. Why tho?"
"Well um can you take care of little Bonus here?"
"He's so cute, and did you say Bonus?"
"Yeah, we named him after... you know"
"That's nice!"
"So can you?"
"Sure! But for what?"
"Well i-"
"It's our wedding anniversary and friend anniversary at the same time, so we want to celebrate, but we don't want to wake him up or make noises." Jordan said stopping Mady mid-sentence.
"Oh that's cool. Well, have fun!"
"Thank you, see you next time, Stephanie."
"See you too, Maddison."
Jordan looked towards Mady and said:" So do we take the ghost van or what?"
"I think we should, but first let's ask Michael. ( the parking guy from the other part of the story )" Mady suggested.
Jordan noded and went to Micheal.
"Hey Micheal."
"Hey Jordan, it's been like 10 years since I saw you dude."
"Yeah, well um, I have something to ask."
"Go for it."
"Can I borrow a vehicle?"
"Well that's unexpected."
"Please dude, It's kind of important."
"Fine, just because you're considered a high tier ghost controller, I'll allow you."
"Thank you so much, I'll return it don't worry."
Jordan took the keys of the car and both of Mady and Jordan ran to it.
"Wait before we go, you know it's actually our marriage and friend anniversary right, and I wasn't lying right there."
"You think I would forget that, honey? Ofcourse not!"
"Well um, here's my gift. I didn't have time to give it to you at home, but I thought why not give it now."
Mady took the red bag from Jordan's hand, and opened it.
"No, you're kidding right? You're joking. Is this..."
"Our friendship necklace. J, B, and M... the trio."
Mady hugged Jordan." Thank you so much! This is the best thing ever!"
After they finished hugging, they went back home.
"So, our only objective is to seal this ghost."
"Yeah,that'll be pretty frustrating." Mady stated.
They went back home to rest a little until 2:30 a.m.
After 6 hours...
"Honey, wake up. It's 2:30 a.m. We have to go!" Mady said.
"5 more minutes."
"Come here!" Mady said as she snatched Jordan and dropped him on the ground.
"Sorry for that."
"Why can't I sleep on vacations!!"
They wore their clothes, and headed towards the parking lot. As they arrived, they got into the car.
"Alright, I guess we should be ready."
"Yeah..." Jordan hesitated.
"Are you okay?" Mady asked.
"Yeah, I'm just remembering the first time we went there... with Bonus." Jordan said.
Mady looked at Jordan as his eyes were full of tears. She put her hand on his hand:" It's okay Jordan, I'm here with you, and Bonus is inside our hearts, so don't worry, everything is fine."
"Thank you."
"No problem."
They arrived to the house.
"Oh, this house isn't as scary as I thought it would be. I mean ofcourse it was scary when we were younger, but now it feels normal." Jordan said as he looked towards Maddison who was trembling.
"Hey, don't be scared, we've already been through this, so it's not that creepy."
"Okay..." Mady said as Jordan got shocked.
"Wait. Is Bonus's... dead body still here!"
"I don-" Mady stopped mid-sentence as Jordan ran to the front door of the house.
"Atleast grab some equipments!"
"You're right." Jordan said as he went back to the van." Ok, I'm going to grab a flashlight, temperature tester, and painkillers, and what about you?" Mady said.
"I'm going to grab a flashlight, a crucifix- oh wait, Bonus said that it doesn't work on some ghosts, revenants to be exact, so I'm going to grab painkillers instead and the stone." Jordan stated as they went inside the house. "Oh my god, it has been so long since I got inside in this place."
"Alright, I think we should start looking for the room that the revenant is inside using the temperature tester."
"Wait. Wasn't he in the kid's bedroom?"
"Yeah, I think we should check that first." Mady agreed as they went up to the child's room. "Wait, weren't there dolls and teddy bears in the corner of the room?"
"Yeah, the ones that you hugged when we left you all alone."
"Hey, stop making fun of me! Plus, that was years ago when I was still a kid, and I didn't know any better!"
"Sure, Sure. Hold on a second. This room isn't freezing at all. Did he move?" Mady said as Jordan turned the light.
"I guess we should look."
They went in each and every single room and didn't find any sign of the Revenant being in there." It's surprising that he still hasn't attacked yet." Jordan said as Mady looked towards him.
"You want him to attack us? Haha... haha... Jordan please shut up!"
"Alright." They decided to go down stairs, and to the kitchen." No sign here, Jordan."
Mady said as Jordan went to the bathroom.
"Wasn't there a dead body in this bathtub? Hm, wait! Is the ouiji board still in the living room." Jordan said as he ran towards that room.
"Atleast wait for me."
As he looked on the table, he saw it.
"Mady, you can hit me, kill me, and you can do whatever you want to me, but I want to talk to the ghost."
"Alright, Jordan, do it all yourself, see you later." Mady said as she went out to see that the light had gone off.
"Nevermind, I'm coming with you."
Jordan lighted up the candles around it, and said:" Hello Revenant, you probably don't remember me, but I do. Where... are you!"
The ouiji board stick looking thing started moving.
"Okay, B...A...S...M...E...N... No... please...T. Oh no, Mady, he moved to the...Basement... Let's go." Jordan said." Wait. Have you seen Bonus's... dead body anywhere? I didn't find it in that hallway."
"Hm, that's strange. I also didn't find it."
"Let's just forget about it and go to that basement." Jordan said as they went to the basement door.
"You remember the first time that ghost attacked us when you were looking down at the basement." Jordan said.
"Yeah..."
"When Bonus was still around..." Jordan said almost crying." Let's just go."
As they opened the basemnt door, a gust of wind flew through them making them terrified." This looks even scarier than the upstairs. I can't believe you and Bonus went down here to turn on the lights."
They went down, and Mady said:" The temperature tester says it's freezing in here. He is indeed here."
Both of them looked at each other, noded, and each one of them went to opposite sides.
Jordan's POV:
This looks very horrifying. There is stuff and shelves in every single corner, so anything can happen without me even knowing. I should've gone to the left and not the right!
Mady's POV:
There are so many boxes and stuff! On top of that, it's also freezing. I should've known the temperature was like this before coming here. There are so many corners! This place is like a maze! I should've gone to the right and not to the left.
Back To The Story:
Jordan and Mady kept exploring and looking, until Mady heard a scream. It sounded like Jordan's scream! Mady walked towards the left to see that Jordan was sprinting." MADY, RUN!! HE'S COMING!" Jordan screamed as Mady saw the Revenant running. Both of them ran out of the basement and closed the door.
Jordan was breathing heavily and couldn't control his temper.
"Are you okay? How did he appear?"
"As I was opening doors and looking through the shelves, I saw him. I thought I was insane, so I decided to eat my painkillers, and looked back up, and he was still there. I said Wait Are you real? Nah, if he was real, he would be running towards me now. I think this is just some decoration he put to scare us. What an Idiot! He then looked at me, and started walking as I walked backwards. Then he started running at me like a menace!"
"Jesus, they god I didn't go to the left."
Mady said as Jordan looked at her in disappointment. They went back down and to a small room in the corner of the basement.
"He came from this room. I'm kind of terrified." Jordan said.
"It's okay, we're together." Mady said giving Jordan some courage to go in the room.
It was empty, filled with darkness, and was horrifying.
"Why don't you go in here? You know I got you the necklace right?"
"Well, I made you food for years, I took care of your child, and everything. So, why don't you go in."
"Fine." Jordan went in as the door closed.
"Jordan..." A voice said as Jordan was looking around.
"Your soul is lost in the void, come with me to retrieve it."
"What?"
"Come to your destiny, Jordan."
"Stop talking in riddles please."
"Your destiny awaits you."
"What? Please stop."
"Jordan... take this." Another voice said.
"Wait who are you?"
"You'll understand once the time comes."
The voice said as painkillers appeared in his hands. Jordan ate them and was on the ground with Mady trying to wake him up.
"Jordan, are you okay?"
"Yea... I think." Jordan said as the Revenant appeared behind them.
"RUN!" Mady said as both of them ran up to the main floor.
"HE'S GOING UP. HIDE!" Jordan said trying to find a hiding spot, but couldn't find any. Jordan went to the kitchen thinking that Maddison was following him, but there was no sign of her being there.
"Did he take Mady? I HAVE TO FIND HER... QUICKLY!" Jordan said going to the door of the kitchen to be jumpscared by the Revenant.
"WHERE IS MADY!" Jordan said thinking he was going to get a response.
"Although this is terrifying, this is pretty awkward to not get a response. Wait? What am I talking about? Where did you put Mady?"
The Revenant pushed Jordan as he fell on the ground. Jordan looked up to see that Mady was in the Revenant's hand.
"Mady!" Jordan tried standing up, but he felt like he was paralysed.
That Revenant was about to cut a hole through Mady.
"No, I will not witness another death in my life! Please stand up." Jordan said still trying to stand up.
"I'll help you." Someone said as he pushed Jordan up and gave him the stone." Finish it off... My rival." Jordan felt... Bonus's hand on his back. "Bonus! Thank you... my rival... you saved my life... and Mady's life... thank you." Jordan said as he squeezed the stone and the ghost disappeared.
"Mady, are you okay?"
"Yeah... what happened? Are you okay?"
"Yeah... thanks to Bonus."
"Bonus?"
"I'll tell you the story. So that was Bonus who helped me in that room huh."
The went out of the house, and the bright light from the sky shined upon them.
"Wait! WHAT TIME IS IT?" Jordan said as Mady looked at her watch.
"Um... it's 8:46 a.m... WE HAVE BEEN IN THIS HOUSE FOR 6 HOURS AND 16 MINUTES!"
"Let's go to Stephanie to grab Bonus."
Jordan said as they went in the car, and went to the station.
"Here you go, Micheal, here are the keys." Micheal tried welcoming him as both of Jordan and Maddison disappeared.
"Well, they look like they are in a hurry. ( sometimes all I think about is you, late night in the middle of june...)"
They opened the main door of the station to be surprised by the captain.
"Oh sorry... WAIT! Are you guys Mady and Jordan?"
"Yeah, how have you been?" Mady said as Jordan was looking for Stephanie.
"I'm good. How are you guys? It's been almost 12 years since I saw you two."
Jordan whispered to Mady:" She's not here."
"Oh, well, we have some stuff to do... See you."
"Wait. Then why did you come here?"
"Oh we're just looking for Stephanie."
"Oh, well bad luck to you two, she left 2 minutes ago."
"Okay, thank you captain."
They said as they left.
"Do you think the captain will say something to us since we went to the deane house with no permission?"
"Yeah probably... But hey, atleast we sealed that ghost who has killed lots of people."
"Yeah... I think you're right. Let's just go to Stephanie's house." Mady stated as Jordan noded.
They arrived and knocked.
"Oh, hey Jordan, hey Mady. You guys want Bonus?"
"Yes. Is he okay?"
"Ofcourse he is! Let me just grab this little guy." Stephanie said as she went to grab little Bonus.
"Here you go."
"Hey buddy, sorry for leaving you." Jordan said as he hugged him.
"Okay thank you so much! If you want, we can go out some day." Mady said as Stephanie agreed. Both of them waved at Stephanie and went back home.
They arrived. Bonus was in Mady's hands while Jordan just dropped on the couch and slept like a baby.
"I'm so tired~" Jordan said as he looked up and saw Mady making breakfast.
"Atleast relax for a second honey. Aren't you tired."
"No... plus I actually enjoy making food for you guys."
"*Sigh* you really are the best women in this world... thank you." Jordan said.
As they were eating breakfast, little Bonus asked:" What were you doing, mommy and daddy?"
"Oh,um...we had some work to do." Jordan said."And we didn't want to wake you up."
"Oh okay." Bonus said as Jordan was about to leave the house." I'm heading out. Do you want me to bring anything?"
"No, we have all the supplies in our house. I don't think we need anything." Mady said as Jordan agreed and left the house. He arrived to the cemetery. "Hey Bonus, we did it... we avenged you... with you beside us. Thank you for helping me right there, without you I would be dead." Jordan payed his respect and went back home. On his way back home, he got a call from the captain.
"Oh no. Hey cap."
"Hey Jordan. I have a question."
"Go ahead."
"We got a message that something was happening in the Deane house and there was two people there. I'm just asking if it's you and Mady or-"
"Yes... it was us."
"Why did you go there? I thought you guys didn't want to go there anymore. And why didn't you atleast get my permission?"
"I'm very sorry, but we were in a hurry, we forgot to talk to you, but hey, atleast he's gone now."
"What do you mean?"
"We sealed him!"
"How? That's impossible! He's the strongest."
"Well, it's a long story."
"Okay, I guess that's enough. Thank you for sealing him, Jordan and Mady. Sorry for wasting your time."
"No it's okay." Jordan hanged up and went back home, and they lived a peaceful life. But, is it the end? No, the story doesn't end there. Stay tuned for Phasmophobia: The Final Showdown.
