The Beginning(Prologue)

The deep red blood dripped off the knife, reminding her of that day under the tree. The dark voided slit in the neck of the dark brown haired man who sat in front of her, darkened her mind, though, not scratching her soul. It threatened her humanity, it growled at her faith, it hurt her heart. Rising up? She thought that's what was happening. She fell to her knees, chills were sent down her spine. Not from the iced floor, not from the cold air, but from her own actions... her own guilt. Her chest burned, and her eyes yearned to be closed. But she couldn't move, her eyes watered, and she finally dropped the knife she'd been clutching tightly to her chest. She felt a sickening presence behind her. "How could you?" he said lowly.

"They did this to me." She cried quietly.

"You did this to yourself!" He growled, stepping closer to her quivering body.

"They wanted me to turn out like this!" She screamed, enraged, still in her position on the floor. "It's all their fault." She stood and turned around grabbing the knife once again. The man already had a gun pointed at her. "I knew you never trusted me Logan." She chuckled.

"Sadie, you have to stop." He sympathized, putting his gun back in the holster and his hands up. "You were the hero, everyone looked up to you... I..." He took a contemplating breath, "I can't hurt you Sadie, don't be the villain."

"Well, if protecting myself makes me the villain, then fine, I'm the villain. But remember, anyone can be a killer if you push them far enough." She threw the dagger, one more life taken can't hurt her now. But he pulled the trigger...
