As I followed Kotone into the next area, I started to think about the other people I met. Do they remember anything that happened before they woke up in this strange place?
"Do you remember anything before you got here?" I asked Kotone, wondering if she remembered anything.
"I wish. The only thing I remember is getting kidnapped by something. But I couldn't see what it was." Kotone replied in a whiny voice. While I could tell she was likely being serious, it didn't seem like she wanted to talk.
"And are you always this whiny?" I asked her. She just turned around and stared at me. I don't know why she thought she could stare into my soul when she looks weird doing it. How old is this kid, 12?
"Yeah! So? What are you, my mom?" She said as she huffed and stomped towards the others that were in the other half of the cafeteria/stage area. They both headed towards a table where two people, a boy and a girl, were talking.
"So I was thinking about something...since you're a fashion designer, maybe you could make clothes for me for shows." The boy suggested. The girl shook her head and said,
"Nori, this is the third time today you asked me to make you something. Can't you give me a break once in a while?" The boy chuckled and gave the girl a peck on her hand and said,
"How about no." This made the girl's face turn red in anger as she replied,
"W-what was that for dude?"
"What? I can't kiss a girl's hand that I find charming?" He chuckled. Kotone rolled her eyes and butted in the conversation, saying,
"Nori Miki, stop that right now. You're scaring her."
"What if I don't wanna?" The boy smirked as the girl just looked down, trying to cover her obviously pissed face.
"She looks embarrassed because of what you did!" Kotone argued, the boy simply laughing and saying,
"Oh she's not embarrassed. She likes it."
"Uh, I'm just gonna interrupt this by saying, who even are you?" I asked the boy, me being really confused on what was happening. The boy then looked at me with a smile and said,
"My name is Nori Miki, m'lady. The Ultimate Ice Skater. I could also be considered the Ultimate Flirt." He added a small chuckle after the last part he said, which was honestly creepy. The girl who was sitting with him cleared her throat and decided to introduce herself.
"I'm Akari Hayakawa, the Ultimate Fashion Designer. Nice to meet you two." She said to both of us.
"My name is Marta Zhitnyuk, the Ultimate Farmer. But I would definitely prefer if you called me March." I told them.
"Ultimate Farmer? Wait, so you sleep on hay?" Nori laughed. I wasn't sure if he was trying to make a joke or not, but if he was, it wasn't funny.
"Actually, I do. Anything wrong with that, Nori?" I asked as I crossed my arms and glared at him. His face turned from one of teasing to one of shock.
"Wait, seriously? I was making a joke. You actually sleep on hay?" He said.
"Yeah. I sometimes sleep in a regular bed, but to be closer to the animals I care for, I stay in the barn." I explained. Akari had some sort of disgust on her face as I said that.
"Eww. I don't think I could ever do that." She said.
"Me neither." Kotone agreed.
I wasn't sure what to do at this point, so I just said,
"Well, it was nice talking to you. Y'all seem like pretty cool people." I said as I waved to the three and walked away, hoping to find more people to talk to. Good news, I found some more people. Bad news...
