The Night

The night is a rare beauty,
With everyone asleep, no one sees.
How the moon shines in a pale light,
As that's all needed.
Firefly flutter and glide,
Never to fall.
Adding to the nights magic.

Trees flow with the breeze,
Flowers illuminate as a rainbow.
Splashes of perfect colour,
Framing the slow moving stream of clear water.
It flowed continuously over,
A majestic waterfall.

With the might crowd of oak trees,
Standing tall and proud.
The moonlight could only touch,
The earth in thin beams of light creatin mesmerizing patterns.
The faint, wispy clouds tried to hide,
The dark sky showing commets,
Dancing like tears they ran across the darkness.

The moon gets lower,
My time is short.
Soon i will have to return,
To my fellow wolves.
And say goodbye to the quiet solitude.

Clouds begin to tint pink,
As the sun rises for a new day.
The white moon is gone,
And the stars follow.
One by one,
'Till they're all gone.

Oranges, pinks. Purples and yellows,
Spread across the sky.
Gaining on the retreating navy,
The last stars surround the yellow ball.
That blinds and burns,
Like disappearing constellations.

Birds tweet and sing,
Foxes wake to hunt.
Rabbits wake to play,
While I make my way.
Home to go through,
Another day.
