Chapter 2

he picks me up and places me on his lap and sits me so that Sam could see me i looked at her and blushed. she looks at me and smiles at me and sits next to Jake. she looks at me and asks me if she could hold me for a bit i shyly nodded. she smiled and picked me up from Jake. she placed me on her lap and ran her hands through my hair practically combing it with her hands. i blushed and began to feel safer and more comfortable around her and about 20 minutes later i felt completely at ease. i lay back in her arms and she placed the pacifier that was around my neck into my mouth. i look up at her and smile. they then soon watch some more TV and i soon fall back to sleep. i wake up still in Sam's arms while she was watching TV. i move around and look for Jake. she notices me looking for him and tells me that he went out and will be back soon. we both hear a knock at the door.

Sam- and that must be him.

she picks me up and places me on her hip, and walks to the door to open it and we could not believe who we saw. i look at him and immediately start to cry it was my dad. i move around to get out of Sam's arms to close the door but Sam closes the door as quickly as she can and locks the door. she runs to the back door and the side door and does the same she then grabs her phone and calls my mother, Jake and my sister who were all at the store with each other. she calls them and my sister answers the phone.

sister- yes this is Rachel how may i help you.

Sam- hey Rachel this is Sam i need you all to come here right now it is an emergency.

sister- wait a second Sam calm down whats wrong.

Sam- guess who just showed up at the door just now.

sister- who the neighbor(she said with sarcasm)

Sam- no it was Mark's father.

sister- wait what! why the hell is he there.

Sam- i don't know why. i slammed the door shut when i saw him. we thought that it was y'all.

sister- wait we please tell me that he did not see Mark like he was.

Sam- uh yeah so what.

sister- lock all of the doors and find the best hiding spot in the attic.

when my sister said that we heard someone trying to break the door down.

Sam- uh Rachel get here quickly and by that i mean right now!! he is trying to get in.

my sister told Sam that they were on there way over there as fast as they can. Sam ran upstairs and pulled the cord to get to the attic. we went up the latter and pulled the latter in and pulled the door shut. we heard a smash of one of the windows and heard footsteps.

Jake- hey Rachel whats wrong with Sam.

sister- we have to leave her now and get to the house our dad is back over there now and is trying to break in.

Mother- what! Rachel bring the cart to the manager and tell her to put it all back up please and hurry up and when your done meet me and Jake in the car. with that they leave the store running to the car and start the engine and race home.

me and Sam are in the attic with the only access shut of and blocked and unable to open cause Sam put something in the way of pulling it open. we hear foot steps walking running all over the house while my dad is trying to find us.
Rachel, Jake and my mother all get home and see the front door smashed open. Jake grabs a heavy metal bat from his truck and walks into the house with my mother and sister right behind him. Jake hears some footsteps up stairs and hears the attic door being broke open and someone climbing up the latter. my sister tells Jake that we are up there. he runs up to see Sam and me down the latter with my dad holding me by the neck with a knife to my neck and blood dripping down my neck. Jake sees him and starts yelling at him.
