Chapter 4: A Dark New Life

As we walked through the arch way of the castle, I felt a million eyes on me. I felt like every living organism moving here in this space was eyeing me, My father was speaking but I missed what he was saying and I instantly regretted it, when he turned and asked me if  I needed anything. I didn't even notice when we had stopped at a pair of twin doors that apparently led to my room and what a gorgeous room it was! The room was in my favorite color lilac and pastel pink but in French decor kind of style, "OMG I have a balcony!" I was thinking as I stepped outside only to notice that the surrounding area of the castle was dark almost like the place itself kept an ever darkened shadow over it. I went back inside and started to search through my closet, which by the way is a whole other room unto itself, it was huge , it's like I had my own mall in there! I started looking through when there was a knock at my door," I wonder who that could be?" Came a thought as I went to answer the door. As I opened it a very tall and beautiful woman stood there looking like a dark goddess " hello Jinx, nice to finally meet the girl my husband speaks so highly of." I couldn't reply back because I automatically knew who this was, she is the reason my father left my mother and abandoned us! " Hello, I can't say the same my father never mentioned you to me so I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage......." She smiled evilly and then as if she just remembered " oh I'm sorry my name is Artemis pleased to finally make your acquaintance my dear." I shook her hand smiled and thanked her for her kind welcome but I could tell she hated me with a passion, it wasn't anything she said or did, it was just a feeling in the pit of my stomach. Did you need something else, I asked as she stood there staring heatedly at me" nope I just want to meet you and now I have , have a restful night! She closed my door and left but it still didn't ease my nerves, I needed to get some air but as soon as I walked out guards were at my sides. I continued out to the garden and just walked around thinking of all this news and what it meant for me, I already missed my friends and Dalton , his lips, his eyes the way he makes me feel safe I probably will never see him again........

I had no idea what was going on one minute we were with the guys and the next we were being thrown into the back seat of a black truck and driven away, how could our parents have done this to us, keep us together then pull us away, don't they know how close we are and how much we need each other this totally sucks! I looked at my father as he sat there watching as we headed for our destination but I wondered where we were really going, my wondering came to a close as the car came to a stop and I was asked to step out into a tar mat for the airport " are we going some where dad?" I asked as we boarded the small plane, he looked at me with a sincere stare and replied " Home" that was it and as I boarded the smell, sight and sounds of the place I lived for my entire life disappeared and the journey into the unknown was upon me. I fell asleep on our way there but was gently shaken awake at our approach" Wake up baby we're here!" My father was nervous but on alert the entire time and as we landed it shocked me to learn how far we had traveled " Welcome to New York baby!" Wow I thought as we left the plane , the sight and sound of the city already reaching me, " this is where we live now?" I asked " yes , and your sister is not far but for now we must get home, daylight will so be upon us!" We get into the black SUV's and head toward two high rise building , my father tells me he owns them and that the entire top of the building is our home the buildings name is The Chateau DeVille I guess you could say that I was rich now, I mean as I walked through to the elevator to get to our floor it was so dark and forbidding but beautiful, with Granite and porcelain. When the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened my father opened our door and showed me around it was amazing like a castle, as we walked he showed me to my room where he asked me to sit tight , I nodded and stayed put, but looked around my room it was beautiful it was in my favorite color Royal blue light blue and cream, I was never a girly color nor was my sister. My sister I missed her already but more than that I missed my friends and Cole we had just gotten together and now we're apart, this sucks and I really wish I could talk to her and them! Maybe my dad will let me and maybe he'll let them visit because I don't want to be trapped here with no friends and no company. Well here's hoping!
