Hopelessly wishing

Sitting,

Twirling a red lock around my finger

Watching as the sun streams in with warming light

Dreaming of hazel eyes

Surrounded with thick long lashes

Heart beating rapidly

As lips tingle with your name

Begging to speak of you

To taste the intoxicating presence

In which the slightest memory of you brings

How is it that without lying eyes on you

That my breath catches

Only you can awaken deepest desires

With only a thought

How could it be that I have fallen in love

With thoughts and helpless wishing

It must be trickery

The darkest of magic

Even as I think of it

I know it not to be true

That this is pure and a hearts wanting

So as I sit day dreaming of lips touching

Of light gentle caressing of warm fingers to my redden cheek

I know this is real

That I have fallen in love

With a figment of my imagination
