Chapter Eleven

      Brian and Roman were a little awkward with the relationship between Briah and Tej for a while, but eventually they learned to accept them. Obviously they didn't like seeing any PDA between the two, but they had to get over it. They would often times call them out and scold them, but it was all in good fun. Suki was just happy that her OTP was together and allowed to be public about it. People around at the races weren't too happy to see two of the most attractive people at the races were taken, especially by each other, but the people had to get over it.

      Often times, Brian and Briah would race each other. Most races were close ties, but sometimes one of the twins would win against the other. Tej always bet on Briah, and Roman would bet Brian, as would Suki, only because she believed Brian was going easy on Briah for some reason. Obviously the twins knew the races were all in good fun, so feelings were never hurt when one twin won, and the other lost.

        Over the few months that had passed, Brian had started working more with the department again, against Briah's wishes. She wanted him out of the cop game all together, but she knew he wouldn't leave unless he had to leave. She was working at the local hospital now, which actually pulled in quite a bit of money. Brian lived with Briah now, since he was too lazy to find a house. Roman actually lived in his motorhome, which was parked in Briah's yard at all times now.

      Since Brian lived with Briah, Tej didn't stay over often. He didn't want to rub Brian the wrong way, so he respected the fact that sometimes he'd have to stay away from the house to make Briah's brother happy. Brian loved Briah, and he loved seeing her happy, but sometimes he just wanted to spend time with his sister without Tej around, and the couple understood completely. Brian wasn't use to sharing his sister, other than with Roman, but again, that was like one brother spending time with his sister, and than the other brother spending time with his sister on his own accord as well.

       Roman had started working at the garage with Tej, since it made honest money, and it was something Roman could do without having to know too much college stuff. As long as he knew math and how to work on cars, he'd be pretty much fine at the garage. Obviously Tej was there to help, but for the most part, Roman could do everything himself.

     Eight months after moving from her old home and settling in a new one, she met one of the women Brian had talked to her about. The woman, Letty Ortiz, was Dom Toretto's lady. She had come for Brian, so he could set her up with someone to clear Dom's crime sheet. Obviously Briah didn't know all of what Dom could've done, but she knew quite a bit. Briah and Letty had gotten along rather well, and they planned to get to know each other more once Letty was done with whatever mission she had set herself on.

        Apparently Dom didn't know about the mission, nor did he know that Letty was coming to Brian for help. If he had known, according to Letty, Dom would've gone ballistic. Letty swore if anything happened to her, she wanted Briah to talk to Dom first, not Brian. Dom wouldn't hurt Briah, but he would definitely hurt Brian; maybe even try to kill him. Letty was still very angry at Brian for everything he did to her family, but she liked Briah, and she didn't want to see Briah hurt, even if it was by Brian's own stupidity.

        Letty made sure that Briah didn't know too much about what she was going to do, since she didn't want the girl to try and contact Dom and get him to get Letty. If Dom came and ruined everything, than all of Letty's work would be for nothing. Letty did have Brian promise to tell Briah everything if something were to happen, just so she could explain it all to Dom later.

        Sadly, Brian ended up having to tell Briah everything, because he had gotten word that Letty was killed. Briah was sad, since she considered Letty to be a friend. She had told Letty she'd tell Dom everything, so she planned to go with Brian when he had to go and try to grab Dom at Letty's funeral. Honestly, Briah found that to be the most heartless thing she had ever heard of, but there wasn't anything she could do. Besides, it wasn't like cops were actually ever worried about anyone other than themselves. Brian was the only exception in that statement, and that was because Briah kept him grounded.

"Are you sure you want to go with him?" Tej asked, as he laid in bed with Briah.

"Yes, I have to. I mean, I told Letty I'd talk to Dom. I don't want to make myself a liar. I know I never promised her I'd talk to him, but I did say I would, even if it wasn't a promise. Besides, Brian will be there, and I know Brian can help me kick ass if I need to." She replied, causing Tej to chuckle.

"If something happens to you because of Letty's man, I will go down there and kick his ass myself, and Rome would be coming with me." Tej commented, and Briah nodded.

"I know, believe me. You three are super overprotective." She answered, making him smile.

"Only because we love you." He said, causing her to smile.

"I love you guys, too." She replied,"I love you." She murmured, kissing him.

        She wouldn't get hurt intentionally, not when she had someone as amazing as Tej to come home to. He was her everything, and she loved him with her entire heart. He was the missing piece that couldn't be filled by her brothers...
