Club doesn't usually go to his workplace.
But when he does, it's almost always eventful.
He went to his room and did his usual routine, taking a shower, picking clothes, etc., etc. He doesn't usually bother with what he wears every day, preferring comfort over fashion. Clothes that are easy to move in, wearing little to no accessories at all, he doesn't like being uncomfortable.
But today is the day.
"I'm gonna show her." Club can't help but grumble as he goes to his closet and picked out a blue suit tailored personally for him, proceeding to wear it.
I'm gonna show her what she's missing.
"Only once, in my life, have I asked a woman to marry me," he said, as he faced the mirror, trying to steady his shaking hands as he tied his tie, but to no avail. He let go of his tie and grunted.
I sense a disturbance in the force.
The voice inside his head startled him from his mini-breakdown.
"Shane rejected my proposal."
Until now, Club has been struggling to come to terms, with his other personality, Clover. As he said, Clover only surfaced whenever times were rough, and he's resurfacing a lot these past few days.
Club heard the snort coming from Clover as he frowned. He continued tying his tie as if he wasn't talking to himself and listened to what Clover had to say.
I can't blame her. It's only like, what, 6 months? That you've known each other? You guys barely went on a date.
Club showed him a memory.
Shane ordered what she liked in a cafe called Didyma Cafe, with Faun and his aide, Angelo.
Lmao, that wasn't a date. That was a business lunch meeting.
Club frowned even more.
Lmao? Where did he even get that term?
Well, what are you going to do now? Why are we dressing up?
"I," Club already finished tying his tie and was now wearing his socks, "Am going to work." Once he's done, he got his work shoes from under the bed and wore them. "To think."
Good luck with that.
That was the last of their conversation.
Club went to his company driving his green Lamborghini, without bidding his lover goodbye.
~~~
Angelo was smiling from ear to ear when he saw his boss in the extension of his frosted glass office.
Finally!
Angelo propped his feet up on his desk as he put both his hands behind his head, a relaxed posture that vexed Club as he tried to sort out the company's problems.
"What the fuck are you staring at, Angelo? Get to work."
Angelo shrugged, "I can't."
Club glared at him.
"What? You're doing all the work for me."
"Then get out of my office."
"Hehe, eto na nga, magtatrabaho na hehe."
The fucker.
All of a sudden, there was a knock on the glass door.
"Come in!" Club and Angelo both said, causing the latter to glare at Angelo even more.
"Sir–" Angelo's secretary, a man named Pharyz, became confused when he didn't see his boss on his chair. Instead, he saw an unfamiliar man who looked pissed.
"Uh..." He searched for his boss, which, to his surprise, was sitting on the couch with his own files.
"Yes, Secretary Jo? Don't mind him, he came from the mental hospital and wanted to act like the CEO of this company."
To which Josef asked, "Do you need me to call the security sir...?"
"No." Angelo waved his hand dismissively, "Let him be. What's your purpose of coming here, Secretary Jo?"
"Oh..." Josef tried his hardest to ignore the glaring man on the table while relaying his boss's appointments and meetings for that day. One in particular with
"Alright, thank you, Secretary Jo. I'll be with you in a sec." His boss glanced at the man who was seated at the CEO's office chair as if asking for permission to go. With a tense and stiff nod, the man allowed him to.
I should really call the security. Josef thought. He opened the glass door to let his boss through first before following behind him.
"I know what you're thinking, Jo." Josef didn't respond. His boss faced him, causing him to stop lest he bumps into him. They're now nose to nose, his boss towering over his 5'9 frame.
"Do not call security on that man," He emphasized, "He's important, more important than this company. Do not touch him."
Angelo wanted to say that Club is the company, but that would imply him telling Secretary Jo that he's a fake boss.
So he didn't.
Josef recalled the man he saw in the office, an air of authority as well as his imposing gaze, wanting to eat you whole.
It's as if he owns the company.
"Yes sir."
Angelo grinned at him, and it took Josef all his willpower not to blush.
It's no secret that his boss, Angelo Del Valle, is a handsome fellow.
His boss turned his back on him and proceeded to go to the meeting room, but Josef asked a question that made him stop in his tracks.
"Is he more important than you, sir?"
Angelo couldn't stop his left fist from clenching, but nevertheless, he answered.
"Yes," Angelo exhaled through his nose, letting go of the useless thoughts he now has.
"He is."
And that confirmed all of Josef's thoughts and questions.
With the conversation over, they both went to the meeting room and proceeded with their tasks for today.
