Transfer's & Memories|
Maji was 4 years old when his father left. Sick of his wife's infidelity he packed up in the middle of the night and was gone, leaving behind only a memory and the two boys he loved dearly, but they needed their mother.....right?
Maji's older brother would be sat by the window waiting for their father to come home. Weeks went by and then months, but their father never showed up.
At the age of 5, his mother would have men coming in and out of the house and each one was no better than the last. Sometimes their mother wouldn't come home, the first time it happened they were scared out of their minds but they soon learned to adapt to this routine.
She would disappear for a night or maybe weeks but in the end she always came back. For a short time they were grateful for it but as time went on they dreaded the day she would return. They loved their mother, really they did but sometimes it was better to pretend like they didn't.
A night where she did come home however, he'd stumbled into his mother's room seeking comfort from a nightmare when he was cut short. Terrified and frozen he stood there clutching his one eared brown bunny as his mother and one of her many.......suitors enganged in foreign entities.
He'd heard how his mother would make these noises that were unknown to him, not understanding what anything meant. The bad dream still plaguing his mind, he called out to her.
She didn't hear him. So he tried again, tiny hands shaking as he clutched his bunny tighter. His mother Vivien pushed the man away from her, grabbed her robe and walked toward her younger son.
She picked him up, noticing he'd got heavier and treaded back to his room.
When he looked back, tears streaming down his face the man had a bored and annoyed look on his face but Maji couldn't be bothered to care.
She laid him in his bed, pulling his Micky mouse blanket up to his chin, making sure to do the same to his favorite stuff animal as well.
Vivian scolded him about just walking into her room."It's very rude to come into someone's room when their busy bear"
"Sowy" the young boy had mumbled, on the verge of tears again but they never made it out as his mother leaned over him and kissed his forehead.
"Night bear"
"Night mommy"
The next day he was in the bath tub, bubbles floating around him and tiny rubber ducks floated on the surface. The bathroom smelled of brown sugar and honey, Maji found comfort in the fragrance.
His older brother Miles who was 10 at the time walked in and helped his brother wash himself, occasionally blowing bubbles in the younger's face.
After Miles helped Maji dress they walked downstairs only to be met with a lady dressed in a suit with a clipboard in her hands, and there where two men standing behind her in suits that looked much heavier.
Their mother was nowhere in sight, the man as well. They'd escorted the brothers out of the house and into a car, Maji was clueless as ever but his brother wasn't as clueless. Vivian had been charged with child endangerment as well as harboring a criminal only she didn't know about him being one.
By the age of 7, Maji was in and out of foster care. Though 12 year old Miles had better luck, finding a home with two nice women.
Every family that would adopt the young boy would drop him right off after the knowledge of his special parts, but Maji never knew that was the reason.
