"RAI! Sage! If you two don't come help me unpack these boxes!" The eldest Davis sister yelled out from the living room.

Rai let out small groan, closing her book, tossing it on her dresser. "Why should I unpack? It's not like I wanna be here anyways." The youngest mumbled underneath her breath. She looked around her new room, a small sigh coming out of her mouth. "God, this place sucks."

The young girl walked downstairs, hearing her two older sisters arguing.

"Sage, we literally just got her two days ago. What boy have you met already?" Venus questioned as she pulled out a vase from a box.

The second sister groaned and shoved her hands into her pockets. "It's this guy I met yesterday at the basketball court." Sage replied. "He goes to me and Rai's school."

Rai walked over to a random box, a grin on her face. "Damn, you're quick, aren't you?" She quipped as she started opening it, pulling out old vinyls. Sage rolled her eyes and glanced at her little sister. "It's not my fault I don't have the body of a 12 year old and boys like me." She sassed, taunting the younger girl.

"Whatever." Venus said shaking her head. "Even though you haven't helped unpack a single box, yes you can go." Sage smiled as she put stick of gum in her mouth. "You know I can't unpack things with my nails looking like this." She said as she showed off her French tip nails. "Anyways, I'll be back for dinner."

Rai let out a puff of air as she rummaged through the box. "So she can leave, but I can't?" She whined with a small pout on her lips.

"Just go." Venus told her younger sister. Rai smiled and gave her sister a quick hug. "I promise I'll help you unpack all day tomorrow." She promised. Venus gave her sister a small smile and nodded at her. Rai slipped on a pair of shoes before skipping out the door.

These past couple of days, she spent most of her time pouting and sulking in her room. She finally decided she would go out and explore Toronto. She hummed softly, the sun warming her skin up as she walked down the sidewalk. She had to admit, her new house sure did beat her house back in Georgia. She had her own room, the backyard was huge, and they even had a basement.

Hopefully, the people here would be better too. Her thoughts were interrupted by a ball rolling over to her, hitting her leg gently. She bent down and picked up. She saw a boy with semi-long hair, jogging up to her. "Hey, sorry about that." He apologized, panting softly. Rai gave him a small smile, shaking her head. "It's fine." She shrugged as she handed back his ball.

"Are you new around here?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. "I don't think I've seen you around before." She gave him a small nod, playing with her fingers. "Yeah, I just moved her two days ago from the States." She replied, letting out a small hum as she held out her hand. "I'm Rai." The boy smiled and grabbed her hand, shaking it lightly. "I'm J.T. Welcome to Toronto." He said with a grin.

Rai returned the smile, pulling her hand away. "Thanks, J.T." She replied. Suddenly, a girl with dark hair ran up to them, panting softly. "J.T, what's taking you so long?" The girl pondered before looking over at Rai. "And who's this?"

"Oh, um, I'm Rai." She answered, smiling at the girl. "I just moved here." The dark hair girl nodded and smiled. "Cute top." She complimented. "I'm Manuela, but everyone calls me Manny." Rai nodded and bit down on her lip gently. "So, do you know what school you're going to?" J.T inquired.

"Yeah, my older sister and I start at Degrassi Community School tomorrow." She stated, looking at the two of them. "No way!" Manny gasped. "Me and J.T go there!" Rai beamed brightly, letting out a sigh of relief. "Really? That's reassuring. At least I'll know someone. It won't be as nerve wracking." She grinned.
