I decided to start dedicating chapters to people. This one goes to Starlightdream. My first wattpad friend. I highly suggest her story "Aryn". And also thanks to NinjaComesNaturally, I have a wonderful new cover! I highly suggest you check her out! I have other covers saved, and will def use those. I have two saved made by SheaRyhai, and of course the old cover made by Confiantexetxbelle. Does anyone know how I can show more than one cover at a time? Thanks.

Fifty guards rushed into the palace, their footfalls echoed through the halls. Swords clanged against armor, while steel boots beat a steady rhythm in unison, as they marched inside. Niahirra watched as they entered her home, a place that should be filled with love and happiness. A place she should cherish and feel safe inside, but none of that existed here, only sorrow and hatred resided.
It was a time of war between her family, and the vile enemy known to all, as the Rorizo’s. Highly trained assassins, once respected by everyone until one horrible incident. Since then, they started doing horrible things. After the first incident, they have been at war with one another. Her father didn’t have any idea where their home resided. He spent countless of hours trying to find the place, and hired many professional trackers, and every single one of them failed miserably. Only once in a while they would receive letters from them, usually written threats. They were at a special location where they would drop off the letters. The King only responded to one, to tell them he would bring them to justice.
Niahirra sighed to herself. Her father suffered endlessly these past eight years. She wondered what bad news the guards brought back home with them this time. She waited until they passed and quietly followed behind, staying hidden within the shadows. If they spot her, they would escort her back to her bedchambers. Her father didn’t allow her to hear whatever news they brought back home. He wanted her away from anything that involved the war, to keep her innocent and pure. She snorted at that. That wasn’t how her father acted. He kept her out of it for an entirely different reason. She hadn’t figured out why, but she knew deep down inside, something wasn’t right. He was up to something. Plotting and scheming some kind of plan. One of these days she would find out.
The guards halted in front of the King’s chambers, and the head guard knocked loudly, then moved back to the position of attention. She heard her father bellow “Enter!” seconds before the door opened by one of his many servants, all which were female. They quickly entered the room, not wanting to keep their King waiting. Niahirra crept behind a nearby statue, one of her many hiding places she used to hear the newest events of the war.
She could see them kneel before her father, bowing their heads in honor. She rolled her eyes at the notion. She could never lower herself to doing those kinds of things, no matter who you are. Why should you lower yourself to scum, to show someone respect? There were other ways to show respect. She hated when the guards would bow respectfully to her. She never spoke against it that would just cause chaos and a long lecture from her father.
“Arise, men. Tell me, what news do you bring forth to me this day?” The King demanded from them as he sat up straighter in his throne. He drummed his fingers on the arm rest, as he waited for a reply. His head guard shifted slightly, as he dropped his head lower, before he looked up before speaking.
“My Lord…I’m saddened to say we lost another twenty men, including Vaerin. He fought to the end, giving nothing but his best…” The man bowed his head low, still shaking by the pass events. It was obvious Vaerin meant something to him. He turned to the guard behind him, and grabbed the white blanket that was stained bright red in several places. He carefully unfolded it. “I bring you his helmet and sword. He asked me, as his dying wish, to give this to you.” He bowed and knelt down as he presented it to him.
