Chapter 3

Darkness. The overall sense of dread and chaos. It fills the hearts of those who welcome it and corrupt them til they turn cold and vile.

"Sakura..." a female voice called out to her. "Huh.. wha.." Sakura thought incoherently. "Sakura.... Sakura, you must wake up. You have to get out. Hurry." the voice pleaded. "Who.. Who are you...?" "That does not matter. You must leave. You must get away. Hurry. He is coming." Sakura was confused and disoriented. "Who.. W-Who is coming?" "He's here! Run! Get away, now!" the voice shouted in fear. Suddenly, pair of ominous black and red demon eyes peered at her through her eyelids, scaring her awake with a loud gasp.

The sound of rattling chains echoed through the room. "What the.." Sakura tried to get up but chains restricted her movement. "Hey! Let me go! Let me out of these things!" she yelled, her voice echoing off the walls of the large room. Calming down a bit to gather her surroundings, Sakura looked around the room in confusion and slight horror. "Where am I? Just what is this place?"

"Sasuke, wait up!" Naruto shouted as he and the others hurried to catch up with Sasuke, who was ahead of them a few feet. "I can't wait! Who knows what Fujikata has in store for Sakura. We have to hurry!" Sasuke replied back, his usual angry look on his face. "That may be true but we don't know what's ahead." Kakashi sensei commented. "Well you guys slack behind if you like, but I'm not gonna let someone important get taken away from me." Sasuke blurted out. The rest of the group had surprised looks on their faces.

 "Did he just say Sakura was important to him?" "So you admit it then.." Naruto had caught up with Sasuke, a mischievous look on his face. "What?" Sasuke hadn't realized he revealed his true feelings out loud. "You like Sa-ku-raaa..." Naruto playfully teased as they jumped through trees.

Realizing what he had said, Sasuke narrowed his eyes at Naruto. "Shut up, you idiot." he lightly blushed. "Oh, Kakashi come look. Sasuke's blushing!" "I said shut up!" with that, Sasuke picked up his speed, trying to get away from Naruto and his teasing. "Hey! Wait up will ya!" Naruto shouted.

 "Well looks like you lost, Ino. Hahah!" Kiba laughed before he was hit on the head by an angry Ino. "You idiot, shut up!-" Ino continue to holler at Kiba for his remark. "So he finally realized it, huh. About time." Kakashi smiled behind his mask. "What you talking bout, Kakashi?" Yamato looked over at him. "Oh I forgot. You hadn't been with them long. Well I'll just tell you the basics. Sakura had always had a thing for Sasuke but well-" "Ahhh I get it. Sasuke didn't give her the time of day right?" "Yeah... and the rest is, well, history."

"Hinata, what do you see?" Yamato asked. The group had stopped several feet from a clearing. Hinata stood on a tree branch, using her Byakugan to scan the area. "I see... an old temple. There's guards all around it, patrolling. They don't appear to be human." "Not human?" Naruto questioned, with a creeped out expression. "Good work, Hinata.. Alright, gather round." Kakashi ushered with his hand. "Here's the plan."
