"she would've made such a lovely bride"
August 2023
The breeze was calm and if you breathed in deeply you could smell all the flowers. The water was still in the nearby lake. And the Windermere peaks looked like the perfect place to cry or in Wisteria's case have a wedding.
That's right, Harry and Wisteria were having their wedding. The two were finally getting married after a year of getting Harry back to full health and planning.
The couple spent their first few months of wedding planning, working on their relationship. They both wanted to get to a place where they could talk to one another about things, like Wisteria's mental health amongst other. They wanted to reach a point in their relationship where neither of them would try to run away from the other.
They worked on their communication. They had long serious talks almost every night. And Wisteria decided she was going to be sure she took her medication. She didn't want there to be any reason for her to almost lose Harry again.
The wedding was going to be simple. Nothing too outrageous for the two lovers. Each of their families on either side of the aisle, along with their friends seated amongst them. Wisteria could hear them chattering as she tried to calm down her heart from trying to burst out of her chest and go on the search for Harry, who was bound to be at the end of the aisle any time soon.
She couldn't be anymore happier to be marrying the love of her life and she can't believe there was ever a moment when she hesitated on deciding if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. Because after seeing him laying in that hospital bed, she knew there would never be any doubt when it comes to him.
She was meant for him. Like an invisible string was guiding them to each other their entire life. That's why she never bothered to make it work with the high school boyfriends that came and went. It was all because she was waiting for the moment she meant Harry at that packed college mixer nine years ago.
"You ready?" Hayden shows up behind her, a warm palm on her shoulder and a smile gracing her face. The music could faintly be heard from behind the door.
Wisteria nods her head with a wide smile biting into her bottom lip. "I'm ready."
"Then let's get you married," Hayden says and grasps her hand before walking out in front of her, accompanied by Niall. The two of them finally admitted to liking each other and decided to give being together a try. Wisteria was happy for her best friends. She was just happy to see her happy. The same as with Hayden; she was happy to see Wisteria happy.
When Niall and Hayden cleared their way down the aisle. The wedding march playing and everyone waiting for Wisteria to walk down. She was walking herself down, something she knew she was going to do no matter what. Wisteria had enough strength to give herself away to the love of her life.
A bouquet of purple flowers in her hand, and her bare feet started to take a step onto the wisteria laid out for her. A piece of her mom in the wedding as she felt the wisteria go in between her toes, like it was growing over her bare feet.
And when she looked up from her eyes gazing down at the purple vine she walks upon. Her heart still beating out of her chest as she came in contact with those beautiful green eyes that she has been falling in love with over and over again for the past nine years.
Looking into those eyes as she walked down was all she needed to calm her nerves. The smile on Harry's face inviting. He was waiting for her with open arms and warmth that was enough to cut through ice.
All Wisteria could think as she reached him finally was
I'm home.
A/N: she's all done. A sweet, simple and short ending to Wisteria and Harry. I had to give them their happy ending after everything. I thought this was the best way.
Thank you so much for reading. I can't believe I just finished my first story here. But thank you thank you thank you. I hope the story was everything you wanted and I didn't disappoint.
Thank you again and I'll see you either in "cardigan" or the next story. I have some fun things planned for both :)
