Many years have passed since my boyfriend and I have actually spent time together. There were some days I just wish I knew what was going on in his head. However, I am finally visiting him in London, along with the lads from One Direction.

"ASHLEY SIERRA MASON!! Time to wake up! You have to catch your flight!" my mom yelled from downstairs. "I'm coming! I am just packing some last minute things".

It was about seven in the morning and I had to catch my flight at eleven. University was destined to occupy my life for the next three years or so. I was going to be living the dream that most girls could only dream of, and would die to achieve.

This was the first time that I had ever travelled without my family. I was leaving my mother and my younger twin sisters behind. "I am going to miss you Alex and Jenn. I promise I will call you as often as I can. I will be back as soon as possible. I love you", I cooed as I kissed them on their heads and ran out the door to step into my taxi. I didn't want my mom to see me leave because I knew I would be unable to stop crying.

People used to say that Ed and I were never going to work out, but their accusations were proved wrong, as today is our three year anniversary. We are spending it together doing what we both love so much: singing.

There was now about ten more minutes before my plane landed. I was so excited to perform with Ed. He is the most amazing and caring boyfriend in the world. We chose his song, Firefly, because I sang it not too long ago in my school talent show with my best friend, Sierra. She had played the guitar and I had sung the lead vocals.

I heard the flight attendant over the speaker system tell us to buckle our seat belts, as we were landing shortly.

As I dragged my luggage off the plane, the first thing I laid eyes on was Ed's ginger hair. His arms were overflowing with a bundle of red roses. "ED!", I yelled, as I ran into his open arms, breathing in the sweet aroma of roses as they were crushed between us. He picked me up and spun me around.

"Ashley, I've missed you so much! These next three years are going to be one hell of a time for you...and me", he stated as he gave a me a playful smirk. He placed my small hand in his large palm, intertwining our fingers. He grabbed my luggage. "Let's get out of here before the fans figure out we're at the airport", he suggested, giving me an affectionate smile as he brushed his soft lips against mine.

*Ed's POV*

I was sitting at the airport on the edge of my seat, waiting impatiently for the love of my life to come running out of the plane and into my arms. I clutched a dozen red roses in my gloved hand. I couldn't stop staring at my phone, checking every minute until my fair lady landed safely on UK grounds. I saw the plane land and I ran out into the gateway so I could see her smiling face amerge from the plane and into the cold autumn air. I hid my face in the red roses so she couldn't see me; it's too bad it didn't work.

"ED!!" I heard my name being called from what I thought was behind me. When I turned to look, I saw nobody, to my disappointment. I spun on my heel to see my lovely girlfriend running towards me. I grabbed her by the waist and twirled her around until we were both dizzy, pulling her into a warm hug afterwards.

I greeted her with excitement and assured her that these next few years were going to be one hell of a time for us both.

We proceeded towards the luggage pick up area and found her suitcase. I held her as close as possible, my eyes scanning the crowds for any insane fans. I found that they had become especially jealous of Ashley. Some girls would boldly insult Ashley right in front of her face, leaving her in tears for many hours afterwards. She's sensitive to negative criticism and I am willing to protect her at any cost.
