Elementary Enormity

Chapter 1

A pink hedgehog lays in her bed asleep until her alarm goes off. She wakes up and turns off the alarm with her stuffed bunny in her hand. She gets up and changes out of her pajamas before she goes into a room where there's two other hedgehogs. The female hedgehog was wearing white glasses, she had pink and purple quills, and her eyes were light blue. The male hedgehog had green eyes and orange, dark purple, and grey quills.

"Hi mom. Hi dad." The pink hedgehog said to her parents with a smile on her face when she walked in the room.

"Hi Rosy." The older female hedgehog said to her daughter.

"Hey, is your friend still goanna come over later?" The male hedgehog asked.

"Yup. Miranda's coming over for a sleepover later." Rosy replied with a smile before she walked away.

"Petal, does she know?" The hedgehog whispered, not knowing if Rosy was still in hearing range or not.

"I don't know Rider." Petal sighed. "I didn't tell her. Miranda should be the one to let her know."

--------Time Skip---------

"Hi Miranda." Rosy said to a cat that had green fur and blue eyes as she hugged her.

The cat hugged the hedgehog back. "Hey Rosy. My brother and sister are here too."

Rosy stopped hugging her friend. "Okay. Your brother's friendly and I don't really know your sister."

"She's over there." The cat pointed to another green cat. Her red glasses framed her eyes that were looking down at a notebook the was in her right hand and she had a pen in her left one.

"Hi Kitten." Rosy said to her best friends twin.

She looked up at the hedgehog before adjusting her glasses and drawing something in her notebook. "Kitten, what're you doing?" Miranda asked her twin.

"Nothing." She said without looking up from what she was doing.

"Looks like you're making some sort of really complicated blueprint for a robot." A third green cat said. His blue eye matching his little sisters. He looks over Kittens shoulder at her notebook.

Kitten elbowed him in the ribs really hard. "Back off Cage." She growled before walking away from her brother.

"Are you alright?" Rosy asked the male cat.

He moved his hand from the spot that his sister had elbowed him and his blood seeped through his shirt. "I think she had a knife hidden in her sleve." He mumbled.

Rosy had a bit of a shocked look on her face. "Why would she elbow you with a knife in her sleve?" She asked. "You're her brother."

"Kitten's not that nice, you know that." Miranda said. "Speaking of that, Kitten do you have a knife?"

As she said that, a knife flew across the room  and barley missed Miranda's ear. "Does that answer your question?" Kitten sneered before going back to designing her robot.

Miranda, Rosy, and Cage looked at the knife in the wall. "I still wanna know why she'd hurt her siblings." Rosy said.

"That's just what Kitten's like." Miranda told her friend.

Rosy looked at the female cat she was next to. "Your mom's okay with that?"

"She doesn't know." Cage replied to the hedgehog.

"How doesn't she know?" She asked as she turned to the male cat.

He looked over to where his little sister had sat to work on her robot design. "Kitten is very good at hiding things she does from our mom."

"And us." Miranda added.

"And us." Cage repeated.

------------Time Skip-------------

Rosy wakes up in her room. She looks around, barley able to see because of how dark it was. She looks at where her friend had been when she had fallen asleep and saw that the cat was gone. She got up to go find her and she found the twin hiding, barley awake.

"Miranda, what're you doing awake?" She asked her friend while she walked over to her.

"N... nothing..." Miranda studdered. "Just can't sleep..."

Rosy hesitated as she thought of something she could do with Miranda since they were both up. "Then do you wanna play a game or watch TV?"

Miranda yawned. She was tired but couldn't sleep. "I don't know. What'd you have in mind?"

"I found a movie about a hedgehog that's framed for a crime before being recruited to join a secret agency." Rosy answered after she thought about it for a bit. "Do you wanna watch that?"

"Sure." Miranda said while she rubbed her eye.

The two of them went back to Rosys room and watched the movie Rosy was talking about before they fell asleep. Throughout the whole movie, Miranda kept thinking to herself, 'How am I goanna tell her?' The real reason why she was awake since she wasn't ready to tell the hedgehog her unintentional secret.
