Damascus pov:

I woke up to a massive migraine after last night. It was probably due to me crying, but oh well. I mean I can't go back in time and fix it so I guess I just have to deal with it. I throw on some clothes after taking a paracetamol. I grab my skateboard and head to the door. Just as I was about to leave the house, I hear a voice. It was my brother Kay Kay.

"Yo D, don't forget your lunch money again' Kay said as he threw cash at me

"Oh-uh thanks I guess." 

"No problem, and have a good day at school."

"I'll try to."

  I unlock the door with my keys and make my way to the skatepark. I take a quick look at my watch and see that I'm early. I sit down in the same spot I was yesterday and scroll through my twitter feed. 

There was nothing new. Just the same old banter between Kay Kay and Olaf. I actually don't know why they're still together. I mean they're never romantic anymore and all the do is fight. I wish they would knock it off and break up already. Sigh.

I turn off my phone and stare at the sky for a while. Six more weeks. That's the amount of time I have left at this hell-hole. I can't wait until I'm outta here. I snap back into reality as I feel the presence of another person next to me. I turn around to see DJ Pony sitting next to me. 

"Hey D," He says "You aight?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. What about you? I heard the news about you and um my brother.."

"Oh uh yeah I'm good I guess."

And before I could utter out another word, I heard the school bell ring. I rush to class with DD and make it just on time. 

"Well that was a workout." I say as I gasp for air

"Yeah, no shit." DD says as he runs his hands through his sweaty hair.

Woah, what was that feeling. As he ran his fingers through his hair, I felt flustered? No, I felt mesmerised. No I felt- you know what, at this point, I don't even know what I felt, but it was a very confusing feeling.

"Damascus, could you please tell me the answer to  question 7?"

"..." (daydreaming)

"Damascus, Damascus... DAMASCUS!"

"Huh, who's calling my nam- oh sorry sir." 

"You better be because you're getting an after school detention today."

"But sirrr!! What did I do??"

"Well I'll make that TWO after-school detentions then."

"WAIT NO, PLEASE!! I'LL SHUT UP I SWEAR!!"

"Okay , but if I hear another word from you, you're out of this class, permanently. Oh and pay attention next time."

"..." (zips mouth and throws away zipper)

A few hours later, in detention...

God I hate Mr Clean! He always targets me for no reason, like if I were a girl I wouldn't even get shouted at! Ughh. I can't believe I'm in detention because of him! Man's literally a nonce I swear.

 I spit out my gum and turn to the window. I'm still puzzled on what I felt earlier today... I mean he is very charming, and handsome, and- ..... What am I on about... It's not like I have a crush on him... right?

 Just as all these questions fill my head I hear someone whispering my name. It was DJ Pony...

"Psst.. D, it's me"

"DD? What on earth are you doing here? You know you'll be put in detention with me if anyone sees you here!"

"I know, but I'm here to sneak you out."

"What, why? You can get excluded for that!"

"Yeah well we're friends and that's what friends do!" (smiles)

" Oh-uh yeah thanks I guess. " (smirks)

He helps me get out, via window, and we sprint all the way to the skatepark, in order to not get caught.

"Thanks DD, it was so boring being stuck in there."

"No problem! We are friends so no need to thank me!"

My phone lit up. Kay Kay was calling me 

"Sorry I'll be back soon DD, I'm just gonna take this phone call."

"Oh okay!"

"Damascus, come home right now. Something happened."

"Wait, what? What happened??"

"I'll explain when you get home. Just be quick."

"But-"

"No buts, get home right now."

"Oml fine."

"Hey um, DD I gotta go home now, I'm sorry. I'll talk to you later..."

"Oh man... I was hoping we would hang out for longer.." (sad face)

"Yeah sorry it's just that my brother says there's an emergency, anyways I'll go now bye."

"Bye.."
