Y/N POV
I woke up this morning with so much anxiety. Today was my first day on set at my new job. I had to be on set by 5am. I was out the door by 3:30am with my breakfast, keys and book bag in hand. I pulled up to set around 4:15am. I figured I should ask around to see if anyone one needed coffee. I am pretty early and it could help me kill some time. I walked towards one of the many trailers on the lot. I knocked on the door and realized it was already cracked open. The door slowly opened, and I walked in to see someone bent over doing some girls make-up. They both turned to look at me and I froze.
"Hi who are you?" said a tall slender looking man with long brown hair and he was holding a make-up brush in his hand. I quickly responded with my full name and job description. I sounded like a total dweeb. The girl in the chair chuckled at my overly detailed response. I darted my eyes in her direction and her eyes were already locked on mine. The make up artist nodded once he noticed my badge, and continued to do touch ups on her face. My heart dropped once I registered who I was staring at.
I quickly looked away and turned to the make-up artist and asked him "do you guys need anything? breakfast? coffee? anything at all?" The make-up artist directed his attention back to me "no thanks" he said with the warmest smile. I quickly nodded and darted out the trailer. "Holy shit that was Hailee fucking Steinfeld in that chair. Holy shit, holy shit, HOLY SHIT!"
As I was trying to recover I started to walk to building 3, which I was pretty sure, Alena Smith the creator of the show said the table read was going to be taking place. I walked inside and just followed the voices I heard down the hall. I then saw a room full of people and before I could think I was in the wrong place I was greeted by Alena.
"You're early you know?" I nodded. "I was just very eager to get to work." She smiled and escorted me into the room to show me to my seat. "We're gonna start once the cast arrives, hang out here." I sat down and pulled out a book from my bag and my breakfast from earlier.
"What are you reading?" a voice spoke from behind me. I turned and Hailee Steinfeld was looking down at me. I jumped at the sight of her. "Shit!"
"Oh crap! Sorry I thought you were Alena and I was just shocked to see you weren't." I rambled. She had no reaction to my outburst. She just sat down next to me and pulled out her phone to read a notification it seemed like, and then turned to me. "Sorry to disappoint. Have you seen her yet?"
"Yes I have. She went that way" I said as I pointed towards the door. She didn't even care to look that direction. She just continued staring at me not breaking eye contact. I felt my face get hot, so I quickly decided to go use the bathroom. "I--uh if you'll excuse me I gotta use the bathroom." I said as I quickly got up and speed walked towards the door. I could feel her eyes burning through my back as I walked out of the room.
Hailee's POV
I watched her walk out of the room. She left so quickly I couldn't even register what she said to me before she was already out the door. Someone then taped me on my shoulder and I leaped up at the sight of her, it was my Anna! I jumped into her arms and gave her the most aggressive hug. "Anna! Oh my god I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too, but jeez Haiz I can't breathe."
"My bad." as I slowly released my grip.
"How are you?!" I yelled with excitement.
"I'm good just glad to be back at work. I missed you guys! Have you seen Ella yet?" she asked with a look I couldn't really read.
"No not yet. I haven't even seen Alena."
We quickly made our way towards the food. We caught up while scarfing down bagels and yogurt. It's only been 4 months since I'd last saw her, but she was one of my favorite people in the world. Any time away from her feels like a millennial. Whenever I'm with her I feel the most myself. That's honestly how I feel about this whole cast.
Everyone showed up around 5:15am. I nearly gave Alena, Ella and Adriane a heart attack because I basically tackled them. I missed them all so much. We started to read the first few pages of episode one of season two. I noticed the girl from earlier was watching me. I could feel her eyes on me every time I read a line. I did my best to not look in her direction. I didn't want to embarrass her. I'm pretty sure I make her nervous. (I know starstruck when I see it ) We got through the entire script and as a producer I was suppose to do a couple things before leaving set, but first we had to meet the new members of the crew as well as our new assistances and runners for this season. I made my way to the girl who had been staring at me the whole table read.
"Hey I realized we have had two interaction now and I didn't introduce myself I'm Hailee."
