Tommy was just like any other kid his age. Besides all the war and trauma he went through he's just your average 16-year-old. But that all goes downhill fast and not kiddy hill fast I mean big scary hill fast that makes you shit your pants. After Tommy went into that prison it was never the same all the time he had to spend with Dream it could show. After Dream had beat Tommy to near death with a potato he truly was never going to be the same loudmouth child he once was, and many were happy about this as twisted and cruel as that was, it was just a fact. He was just too 'annoying' for a 16-year-old. He 'needs' to grow up, and so that's exactly what Tommy did. He hid all emotions that were deemed childish. He shoved them so far down not even a mole rat could find them. But he breaks the day one of his only friends got killed by someone they thought of as family. He ran as far as he possibly could and yet it did not feel far enough. Tommy just kept running and running until he passed out from exhaustion.

Quackity was minding his own business as per-usual. You know, being an important person and all that junk. To be honest, Quackity has been feeling a little blue with his partner forgetting him. But as much as Quackity would love to dwell on that he had things to do and they need to get done tonight or they would never get them done.

3 hours later

"Finally I'm done with work!" Quackity said in a relieved voice. He soon realized that he had to go survey the land to see if he could turn it into anything. That is when Quackity saw a blond tuft of hair peeking out from a tree. At first, Quackity thought "What if it's a trap set by the Eggpire. No, it can't be. I haven't seen any red vines near here." Quackity started to walk closer to the blond tuff. He realized it was a child, not just any child it was Tommy Danger Kraken Innit. What was Tommy doing here? Quackity thought. It's not like Tommy never came to Los Nevadas, he just always gave a warning when he came over. But this time it was unprompted and Quackity did not want to jump to conclusions but something had to be the matter. So Quackity scooped Tommy up as gently as he could to not wake him.

Tommy felt himself get picked up. Maybe in the past, he would fight back saying he did not need to be carried like a child but was just so tired he could not care anymore he just was so tired he didn't even care who was carrying him. It could be Dream and yet he just got closer to the warm body. He just wanted to have peace so many things have disrupted his trying to find some source of peace. Whenever he got close to peace something would pop up. 'Oh Tommy, your brother is actually alive. And you know the ghost of your brother is now dead. Oh, and you know how you have a decent life yeah, no not anymore your friend exiled you. Oh, you got back to your friend. He doesn't have time for you anymore, he has a husband and a kid.' Tommy wanted to cry so badly. But he would not, he did not want to seem weak. So instead he shoved all those emotions deep down.

Tommy started to cry without realizing it Quackity did on the other hand. He didn't know how to deal with a crying child much less a crying Tommy. So he tries what he used to do with one of his Ex-husbands when he cried. "Shhhh Tommy it's ok nothing is going to hurt you while I'm around. Not even a big scary monster. Shhh, it's ok." Quackity said in a quiet voice to try and calm him down. He soon heard a mumble of something he could not understand. "What was that Toms?" He asked. Tommy spoke a little louder this time saying "Big Q?"

"Yes, Tommy? Do you need anything?" Quackity asked.

Tommy just opened his eyes. Not the same eyes Quackity remembered these eyes had looked as if they had been through so much. But Tommy was only 16 he could not have been through so much right he was only a child. But so much could have happened and Quackity wants to help Tommy overcome whatever has caused all this trouble. If only Quackity knew what he was getting himself into.

The rest of the walk home was quiet. Once they got to Quackity's house they went to the spare room in his house. Quackity was just about to leave as he sat down with Tommy but then he heard Tommy make a sound of disagreement so he took that as a sign to stay. So he pulled up a chair and got as comfortable as he could, which was not that comfortable. But he stayed because he really cared for Tommy.
